Just collected my ride yesterday. Nice, comfy, powerful and torquey enuff for me(previously riding drz). Well, suits me a lot. But not that used to the rpm and gear shift, riding at 2-3k rpm engine sounds kinda rowdy... Lol

Gd for u, we're in the same shoe...i'm still a newbie in NC700X....now my mileage is 456km.....hehe...still running in...

Hi bro, just wanna ask about your trip. care to share the trip details with us.

Major pitstops (overnight)

KMs covered per day.

turnaround point of trip.

And any other other good pointers to share.

Thanks!

Major pitstops (overnight) -

-WE left Singapore and stopped at Sadao on the first night after 10 hrs ride. Spent a night. Chose a hotel with no sleezy bar downstairs. Got a Data SIM for 7 days unlimited at about S$12. Was great for folloing 7 days with Wifi Hotspot sharing abt my fds.

- Next day left for Ranong. Smallest population in Thailand. Stayed at Ranong for 2 nights at a boutique resort called Thansila Resort. Great quiet plce to lay back. Tried the hot spring 5 mins walk away. But dont try the massage at the hot spring area, not shiok.

- Then we rode to Hua Hin. Touristy area. Stayed for 2 nights. Shop around.

- Next we rode to Krabi. Stayed at Green House Hotel where we could park at the front pavement of the Hotel. Visited Honda showrooms and the Ao-Nang beach.

- Then we headed to back home bound and stopped a night in Penang while in Malaysia. Next day it was ride back to Spore.

KMs covered per day - We rode only in the day and it was between 600m to 900 km each trip. Shorter KM means smaller road with more challenges.

turnaround point of trip - Hua Hin, in Thailand.

And any other other good pointers to share

- Have the LTA print out to prove you are the owner of the bike.

- Drink lots of water. The body needs it to fight dehydration

- Exchange rates from those mini bank money changer in tourist areas are good in Thailand. No need to prep to much Thai Bhat in advance.

Hi everyone,

I am a "to be " owner.

Ordered the NC700X DCT, silver color from Looi's last Friday.

Should be getting it this coming week.

Also order the Hepco box and rack for $500 (no model given) but Mr Lee (sales manager , I think) only said it is black color and can hold 2 helmets when I asked him whether it was the rectangular box type.

Also order the Hepco crash bar for $270.

He said he will provide with original Honda windshield (higher than the one on the bike on his 2nd floor).

He didn't have rear hugger and did not quote me a price.

Also told me center stand is not a real necessity and that I might drop the bike if I try to put it on center stand as it's 210 - 220 kg (I think I am about the same age as Mr Lee).

I am wondering whether the rear hugger will help prevent or reduce water spray or splash on pillion riders legs.

I also wanted a radiator protector but Mr Lee said it is not really necessary.

I am also wondering whether the front wheel needs the fender extender? Will water will thrown at the rider's legs without it?

Is the center stand necessary? I keep wondering why it is not standard equipment.

Advice from NC700 riders are much appreciated.

Please also let me know where to get them and price if known.

Thanks in advance.

Center stand for me essential.... If u want to do your own maintenance etc, it does help. But to each it's own, not really detrimental to performance or anything. More of convenience

All my bikes will always have these items from day 1.

Rear Hugger

Radiator Guard

Fork Sliders

Rear Sliders

Frame Sliders

Front Fender extender

Protection is always better than none. Especially the radiator. Once its damaged, gonna cost alot to change.

If you are someone who washed bike, a center stand really make the job 110% easier. Washing and lubing chain without center stand is a major pain in the ass.

Minus point of the center stand is it will affect the lean angle during cornering and going over humps. When you pillion, must be more careful too

Just to add a few pointers... Rear hugger does not prevent water from spraying onto your pillion... You will need side panniers for that... Lifting from centre stand should not be an issue... :) I can give you a few pointers if you think you are too much of a noob...

Much Thanks, Doremi.

bro. All my items are from ebay. If you are going to get full sliders set from the same seller. You will save alot on the shipping and normally they will give you bundle prices too.
