To the bros riding the NC 700... Pardon a question from a non rider(potential buyer). I know that the FC is superb on this machine.. But how do you guys cope with the apparent lack of power ( on paper). Only 50bhp- ish when compared to other similar cc bikes producing doubly more power and torque.

for me why i chose the NC over other class 2 bikes are a few factors, looks, storage, FC...

for me i am willing to give up that extra power for a better FC and for the cruising comfort of the NC...

i guess if you are looking for more power then the NC might not be for you...

power and FC cannot be best of friends...

one goes up the other will have to go down...

If power is your concern you probably want to consider versys 650.

 

There is always a balance. More power more fuel needed..

 

For me.. I'm just buying a class 2 bajaj pulsar.

what you gona have on the brace? how much does both of it it cost?

 

Not sure yet but the brace is more to reduce the vibration and stable

the slider is from thailand about $15 sing but more for cosmetic purpose

try motovation, biketech 21, motoworld.

It is the mounting bracket that is different for each model on engine area, as for swing-arm, fork or frame hav to do re-search and compare thats all, some can be use or modifty.

nope they dont... as for as power concern, to me it's the top end that shows obvious difference... this engine is built for practical usage on the road, even it's a 700cc on paper and underperformed other engines of similar cc or even lower cc's. the power is more than enough for me on the road in sg and not to mention it can even beat a 2b's fuel consumption, the road tax is about $87 per 6mths

Hi guy's, what is the correct speed for 6th gear or rather what is the lowest speed NC can do at 6th gear.

I tried at 80km/h ~2500rpm the engine "FELT" like very rough and under powered but at lower gear seems fine at ~2500rpm.

 

I have checked that the DCT model from 3rd gear onwards have the same gear ratio as manual. If there is no change in sprocket than i believe that both should be the same. DCT can do 60km/h at 6th gear (if i remember correctly). Meaning if DCT can do 60km/h in 6 then manual should be able to no? Noob here

Ok I found some info myself.

There are gear differences between manual and (DCT).

Rear Sprocket are different 43 vs (39), chain link 114 vs (112), primary and final drive ratio are different too.

 

So, back to my original question

What is the lowest speed at 6th gear or rpm for a smooth ride that you guys prefer or recommend for the manual gear? Thanks

will the handguards hit the screen on full lock??

Just collected my bike at Looi's today...

Shaved my seat,installed bike seat condom,bar brace,hand guards, engine sliders...

Need to get use to riding...

Any recommeded speed for running in?

Mileage for 1st servicing?

On manual nv state the speed,just avoid sudden acceleration and throttle...

 

Also to check,our radiator is water or coolant?
