Hi to all bros n sis here, i went for my class 2b circuit assessment ytd and i fail with 32 demerit point. I got most of my demerit point cos of wobbling, hence i would like to ask some tips on how not to wobble too much. Im really upset cos i really didnt expect i will get so many demerit point mostly due to wobbling and it really pulled my confident level down(i also sacrificed my virgin post for this problem, lol). Hope to get some pointers from all the veteran riders here, thanks!

Practice. Keep your eye looking ahead and not down. Grip your tank with your knees and feel one with the bike.

And try to accelerate abit more. The faster u go, the less u tend to wobble. Look straight, the tank won't kill you, so stop starring at it, but the road ahead might.

My opinion is tat wobbling is commonly caused by imbalance throttling.

To me, imbalance throttling is for example: moving off at gear 1 and ur throttle control is not gradual. Either too aggressive twist or not enough.

Too much will cause overpower and u may find urself struggling to either brake or releasing ur throttle. If u use front brake, may lead on to ur right hand unable to control both throttle and brake level well. If release throttle too much again lead to power issue.

Too little throttle will lead to under power and u may find ur engine "coughing" and again u try to compensate and same issues similar to too much throttle may occur.

Like e other commenter says, practice. Try to get e hang of ur throttle and aim for e balance of not too much and not too little. Also be alert for ur throttle compensation. Note tat this is a test thus it is important to do it nice nice.

Calm down, throttle gently but gradually. I also try to go into gear 2 asap but this may not work for everyone.

Look straight ahead and feel the power before u let go the clutch lever. Play with the throttle a bit first to get the biting point, accelerate gradually after u let go your clutch lever. Close your leg and grid the tank tight after u lift your leg off the ground. Practise more and u will improve. And don't give up, hope to see u on the road soon.

I had this issue before. Most of the time during turns at gear 1. Try to get to gear 2 as the engine break is not so strong (compared to gear 1). Or clutch in while turning if you're at gear 1.

Another reason is blind spot checking that make you wobble. Try to check a little earlier and faster.

Throttle more and release your clutch confidently so that there's that power then look toward where you want to go and carry on... I sometimes get wobble also, because throttle not enough so the bike move off a little unstable.

I somehow have this mental picture of him doing a wheelie on his tp date following this advice. :cheeky:
