Turning Your Hobby into a Business ...

Anybody has done it before or interested in starting a business based around your hobby?

I have thought of it but Singapore's market is too small unless you have potential buyers or regulars.

Do it freelance first, when its viable, the money will start coming in. Then u register your biz, open bank account, print namecard, look professional, and start rolling in bigger clients.

 

But be warn, running a biz is always busier than working for a firm, so dam busy. Now i appreciate how relak an employee is.

Depends on what type of biz, those doing online shopping niche merchandise doing pretty well, can even go global with paypal, DHL, UPS couriers to deliver your goods to customers.

Ya, need to know the target audiences and also the media use for advertising and social network. But surprisingly bro, there's alot of fallen online shops too. I've read some articles on people giving up on the online blogshops. Need better proposal, it's not an easy task.

running biz never easy with more risk to stake but if done it well it can be even more motivating. never tries never knows.

I always believe if interested to start early, the older you get, the higher the opportunity cost.

I like car racing very much, Its very dangerous for life my parents donted me all the time leave this hobby. So I started my own car rental business because I love to live with cars. I such a way I turn my hobby to business.

you will need passion to drive the business. but to some people, when u are doing something u love for other people, the passion died .. just like me . i love cars and cosplay . turn them into work and side business. eventually i lost the passion. the feeling doing something u like for someone else is just ... wrong ..

I go to gym (1hr) or run everyday after work. I am thinking if this hobby can be turned into a business.

Not looking for big profits, just want to make my hobby more meaningful.

I do. My hobby is baking. My friends loves what i made, that's why they are ordering cupcakes and biscuits from me. Its a good hobby.
