Anyways you lucky. I spend $250 on sunday and all I got is just a free 10 mins quotation from Ah Bee for the GSX75 they're selling :cheeky:

I must have caught Ah Bee in a good mood then. Sometimes you have be thick skinned when service your bike there. I always ask for free gifts whenever I go for my bike servicing... :thumb:

I agreed that most parts HKL offer are cheap but their mech are quite careless some times. Ah bee should take note of tis.

Juz to share my encounter with HKL, there once my bike due for service and one problem that need to be solved which is the my meter would made an additional turn when started. I knew that my battery was going to give way but i was uncertain so i sent it to HKL and told them to service my bike and the addidtional turn of my meter problem. A mech told me the the add turn is due to the battery and i told them to get it replaced. Half way through the job they told me that my rear brake pad had worn out and i told them to replace it as well. I wasn't keeping an eye on the job as the workshop was rather crowded. When my bike is done, the mech push my bike outside and told me wat they have done and wat had replaced then i went to the counter and pay up. I started my bike getting ready to go off but i realised the additional turn on the meter was still there even they had replaced the battery, a staff came by and told me maybe it due to some setting problem ba..ba..ba..of cos i wasn't convice. Then the mech who serviced my bike came and told us that he had forgotten to replce my battery. :giddy:

Now that you've learnt your lesson, next time do keep an observation when they are servicing your bike... :goodluck:

Yup. I got carrot chopped by Ah Zhen when I got my R1 from HKL. If not because I have already fallen in love with my R1, I would definitely have changed my mind about buying it... :sian:

Hmmm, to me if the staff and the boss give different price it does tell me alot about the believability of their overall organisation. Makes me feel like their out to make a quick buck and not sincere about doing business.

i think it's normal tat boss can giv better price.. bcos they r the bosses.. if not, why call them boss..

if i were the owner, and u come to me, of course i can better judge the price.. being the worker, normally wil try to earn more for shop, normally will charge higher, rite??

i think this apply not only to motordiam.. it applies to every business.. if u know the in charge, u got more discount, and some other freebies..

Just a thought, If you were to go about asking every single mech about the price of a particular item, will you get the same price? Assuming you are a new customer with no prior experience with the shop.

If they all give the same price and the boss gives lower den it means there is some form of consistency. Then again, does it happen? :goodluck:

I went to HKL to pay my bike installment and to repair my left rear signal light that was faulty. I guess complaints about the mechanics scratching or denting bike rims while changing tyres have been noted cos I saw Ah Keong checking the rim of a bike and informing the owner of that bike of the scratches that are already present. The bike owner acknowledged those scratches and after informing that biker to prevent any later misunderstandings, Ah Keong changed the rear tyre to a brand new one... :thumb:
