i had an accident with a cyclist chinaman. he jay cross when i was abt to turn.. i was doing abt 50km/hr . thus i jam my brake and slam to him. luckily he just daze. upon realising his mistake he didnt say a word to me n went off. i m left with a sprain shoulder.. what should i do? make a police report? tp report? can anyone advise?

Erm.. what do you expect out of it? The China man compensate you? Frankly speaking, for this kind of case, you can only just blame yourselves for the bad luck and move on. Who knows if you report to TP, they might charge you for failure to keep a lookout.

 

What you can do is make a report at any neigbourhood police post incase the Chinaman say you knock into him and run away. It shouldn't escalated to the TP as there is no major injury. It happen to me once as well.

Pedestrians and cyclist that jay walk will only be fine $20 at most, u might kenna a lot more. Just be more careful in future. Speedy recovery bro.

Even if you knock into a jaywalker or a cyclist, it's still your fault. This type of case, just "F" him & continue your journey lor. Few years ago, my friend whack a China cyclist until he cannot stand up & he drove off after he whack finish.

Ohh I see. So hit jay walker then our fault? But I thought we are suppose to keep a lookout so that we can slow down or avoid in time? So it's only for pedestrian (inclusive of jay walkers)?

It will be still our fault. Bacause we pass our btt . But they nv...So is our responsiblity not to hit them

it was mentioned in another thread whereby another bro was in the same situation.

 

he wasn't charged by TP, as the fault lies 100% with the cyclist for riding ACROSS the crossing. But this wasn't verified and confirmed.

 

BTT states to give them half-lane clearance when overtaking them, never stated about them riding across a pedestrian crossings.
