Its enticing to hear of the 'goodness' of living in Aust, US, Malaysia even for me as a malay.

However, I was born here. I don't wish to be a second citizen in a place not mine, when I still have a chance to fight for my future here.

Being a malay dude, there are even bigger reasons for me to be abroad (not intending to offend, but reality bites, yikes), but no way am I going to give up a place where my folks were born, on the pretext that its more equal there (when I believe it's not)

No matter how hard I work there, no matter how hard I succeed and work there,

I would still be a SECOND CLASS CITIZEN in a FOREIGN LAND. Why not stay here, give it a fight for what its worth and still remain a natural born Singaporean aint' it?

It's always easier to say, hey, Singapore is charging me a penny for almost penny I earn. Hey Singapore is charging me for throwing away my rubbish. Hey Singapore is charging me service charge for every little nitty gritty stuff.

I am not a patriotic person. I get upset when they raise cost of livings. I get upset when they side the U.S for all the wrong reasons. I get upset when almost all the jobs I applied for requires Mandarin Speaking people.

But hey, am I dying of hunger? Am I being chased out of my house? Am I discriminated because I am a Moslem brother? Does my chinese and Indian friends despise me because I ain't looking the same skin tone and speaking the same language?

Hell No.

Going abroad to work, is a definite yes if given a choise. I did that before. I am going there to work, because I am good enough to be lending my expertise to the local folks there who can't even replace a glass catridge in a chromatography equipment.

It's a chance to learn, and a chance to show, that hey, I come from Singapore and I am good.

I am here to stay.

Ya I dislike singapore at first but when i go japan for training i find singaporean suck. All the education dont make singaporeans a better person.

But I go to china to work, they are worse than singaporeans.... Throw rubbish every where. Steal metal even it endanger others. Feel pigs with rubbish and sell it to the public if not close the rd to the rubbish site. ANd many others.

I guess I finally understand "there is no place like home"

hi guys and gals, thanks for your views and such.

i really appreciate it.

actually,i'm not sure whether i will be living here next year or the next two years.

i might migrate to Turkey, which at first i agreed to reside there, but when i think of FREEDOM and EQUALITY...

i think of Singapore.

i wish i dont have to go there,i pray hard.

i dont wanna miss the place where i was born.

That's Singapore.

TW200Girl, if you hadn't a chance to live abroad for awhile then it is a good experience. You'll learn to missed home more. All the best!

Yes, first 6-10 months if alone and w/o family was quite miserable I must say because of homesickness :weep:

Nevertheless, learn to make new friends and I'm sure you'll adapt to it quite well. If you're Christian, it'll help to get some fellowship connection there. This will really helped. Cheers!!

then stay lor, y u migrating? cos of work? anyway, the choice is ur, juz dun look back and regret later...

i'll choose to stay here, cos where on earth can you get such a rich mix of races, cultures and religions? Singapore!!! though there are still places the Singaporeans can improve on, i muz say that actually we are a bunch of friendly people, perhaps the only problem is that we dun smile enough to strangers...when was the last time u look at a stranger in the eyes and smile? hee....of course, some, in fact many Singaporeans might think that u are gaga :giddy: , fancy smiling to someone u dunnoe, but that's the first step to build up an even more powerful sense of Singapore identity, when u acknowledge that all are fellow Singaporeans, though u might not noe the other person, but all are Singaporeans...hee...guess i abit :offtopic: le....hee....

though Sg is small with limited space and breath-taking sights, but that's wat tourism is for rite? even if u migrate to abroad, u will still need to travel in order to visit the sights and all rite? Sg small, u can get anywhere in less than 2hrs using public transport...haha....small=cosy? ur choice...

anyway, i'll choose to stay in Singapore....:cheer:

Best way if you wanna migrate...be super successful (rich) first...and then all countries will invite u to be their resident..

For me, its going to be Singapore all the way..
