WTS: Honda CB400 Super Four Version S

 

Bought in November 2010.

COE expires on 31 December 2016.

 

Other than the usual regular maintenance and services, the tires were changed in March 2012. I also had the bike equipped with the following for comfort, safety and convenience.

 

1. Seng Kwang front and rear crash bars. These are super sturdy stainless steel crash bars that will protect both bike and rider in the event of a fall. These bars are also used by law enforcement agencies and are very well designed for this bike model.

 

2. Seng Kwang installed passenger foot pads. This set of foot pads replaced the original tiny foot pegs giving much greater passenger comfort. They also make it a lot easier for your passenger to get on and off the bike, offering a solid pad with a non-slip surface for climbing on.

 

3. Seng Kwang custom rear rack. This rack is custom designed for extra stability and sturdiness. Unlike the Givi Monorack which is fabricated with a hollow aluminum alloy, this is fabricated with solid stainless steel bars that will not flex or fracture under load and stress from road vibrations and bumps.

 

4. Seng Kwang lowered stock exhaust muffler. Lowering the muffler allows for a more ergonomic and streamlined placement of panniers. The original exhaust location restricts the position of any panniers and destabilizing the bike. Lowering the exhaust keeps the bike stabilized with panniers, making riding and cornering safer. This also provides for much better passenger comfort as the panniers do not obstruct mounting and seating for the passenger.

 

5. Seng Kwang installed pannier rack and rear signal lights placement. This setup allows for maximum visibility of the rear signal lights and a more sturdy mounting of panniers. Solid pannier mounting gives the bike added stability and improves handling when riding at higher speeds.

 

6. Hepco and Becker 45L top box and 40L panniers. These Junior series hard luggage boxes provides capacious load capacity, top grade quality finish and security when touring with valuables locked within them.

 

7. Hepco and Becker top box rack. This rack provides additional storage tie down options on top of the top box. A simple but effective addition to any Hepco and Becker system for added versatility, especially when touring.

 

8. Ride On TPS. This tire protection system provides rider peace of mind. This system is used by many racing teams, law enforcement, fire safety and ambulance agencies around the world. The system automatically and instantaneously seals punctures to both front and rear tires. Best of all, it lasts for the lifetime of the tire and remains on the inner tire wall with no smudging on the rims when changing tires. I consider this a must when touring.

 

9. Eugene Saddlery custom seat foam shaping and cover. This gives greater comfort for both passenger and rider, especially on long rides.

 

10. Scottoiler. This system automatically keeps the chain oiled. It is calibrated so that the chain is oiled without anything dripping onto the car park floor. It flows only when riding and stops when parked. The chain is kept lubricated and clean.

 

11. Large "Fire Bike" style windscreen. This windscreen allows for greater comfort and riding without the need for the helmet visor. As windscreen positions need to be customized for each rider, the current position may need to be tweaked for optimal performance for the new rider.

 

12. Cigarette lighter charging socket. This is installed under the seat for charging of accessories while touring. The wire can be extended to reach inside a tank bag when riding. A real convenience when touring.
