PR with Singapore driving licence

Hi all,

 

i have a PR friend with a singapore licence.

 

after he got the sg licence, his msia licence cant be renewed. then he not allowed to drive msia anymore.

 

any bro here who is a pr here and have a sg licence, but still can drive msia car back home?

In Malaysia, there are many "undertable" methods ma. As the saying goes "Malaysia boleh"

True that SG license is international, but MY don't allow SG license to drive MY cars. I got a few workers here, end up giving up their MY license or find "Undertable" methods.

I don't know where you hear from. But TS's friend & my workers can't drive their MY car anymore, & some PRs tell me it depends on the Police Officer's mood. TS tell your friend to check with the proper authority to apply for a driving permit

if the licence is converted from MY to SG, applicant will need to get a set of his/her records from JPJ and transfer to SG.

 

And as such, Malaysia will deem the licence to be cancelled upon expiry since no renewal.

 

and alot of msian are riding sg-plate bike across the causeway daily. riding SG plate = having SG licence. and conversion takes places for all classes, there's is no way to cherry-pick which 1 you wan to convert.

 

and also 1 thing to confirm, they confirm have a msian car at home.

Ya, definitely they have MY car at home. But if they guai guai follow law, they are not suppose to drive coz their MY license is already invalid.

I'm PR wif SG lic. Once you're a PR. You cannot drive msia veh into sg. Caught = revoke sinple.

You can drive in MSIA if u hv SG lic provided you go apply international driving lic valid for a yr.
