Hi guys,

I am a noob in bikes and would like to seek some advice on a scooter.

I am interested in the Honda Foresight 250, 98 model.

Anyone has experiences riding it, please share with me.

Maybe some pointers on the fuel consumption, servicing, reliability, parts availability, top

speed......

Thank you for the advice.

Cheers guys!

Perhaps you might wish to consider getting something newer?

Eg Silverwing, Majesty, Tmax, MaxSym and more.

On top of that, these scooters are more common seen in the market hence no need to worry about hunting for

spare parts.

In terms of reliability, definitely a newer ride will win the poll.

:cheer:

Glad to have u in my life : ) Always love one another!

Basically Foresight is a great scooter in his heydays...

Honda 250cc engine is bullet proof, servicing cost is a breeze.

decent compartment, and smooth engine (provided the engine is in acceptable condition)

The only factor you need to consider, is that generally foresights are old, condition is questionable.

Price and Remaining COE have to weight in big in your consideration. :)

confusehaha has a point though. Unless you have a special love for Foresight or it is a good price,

go for newer models...

Thanks guys! I decided on foresight bcos I was offered the bike at a incredible price and furthermore, the engine sounds ok. Just here to find out if the parts are easily available in the market and it's fuel consumption. Look thru the forum and was stated it runs at about 30km/l. That is pretty decent fc! However, I do have to take in consideration it is a 15 yrs old bike/engine.

Thanks again! Do welcome more feedbacks and advices from you guys!

Cheers!

Parts can be a problem, especially the rubber and plastic ones (gaskets, hoses etc), even from the agent. Personally, I won't get a 15 year old scooter with more than 200k mileage. Even if offered free and engine aside, the cost of overhauling the suspension, steering cone etc. is substantial.

If you're a good judge of mechanical health, go ahead. Otherwise, give it a miss.

Thanks for the tip. However, I am getting it at an irresistible price. Will be willing to take chances.

I always like Honda. Has proven to be more durable than others.

Cheers!

parts may be scarce but its the age of the internet, plus there are a couple of scrap yards around which u could really get your hands om good secong hand parts for foresights.

hehe bro, from your replies, you seem to already decide on getting the foresight before you posted the first question here

...which also shows another most important factor of getting a bike you want...

that is....getting the bike you really WANT.

love the foresight? then go for it bro!
