just asking wether or we have any recommended shop in s'pore to sent our part's for high-polish or chrome...? Please advise me with address and also qoutation...

I can do high polish rim , but must know ur stock rim colour

I sent my steed to First Motor since 18th Jan for a massive full rechrome. Basically, any part that's originally chrome, silver or metallic in nature is to be chrome or rechrome. Thus bike must be totally strip out. Lots of work! Damage including workmanship $1220.

 

Since my bike was bare to the bone, i take the chance to do a full respray too. I'm just not very happy with the current paintwork lah. Parts previously glossy black will be repainted with metallic black. I like the shimmering effect of the shiny flakes under sunlight. The bike frame will be stripped of its old coat. The cylinder block's old silver paint will be gone too. Both will be coated in matt black. Total of paint job plus workmanship estimated to be around $800. By Paint Extreme.

 

Should be collecting my bike by 8th Feb. Hope it will be up to my expectations. Will update with pics on the final work.

normally, wat i do is use paint remover to strip off the paint and autosol to polish the chrome..

 

BUT.. wat if.. the current rim paint is white however if the stock rim colour is black.. meaning the white is painted over the black..?? what happens if i chrome myself? will it be messy? will it not chrome?

If you want to protect and seal your newly chromed parts check out our page on the stainless steel/chrome sealant, it will protect so that you don't need to get out the polish and buff up ever month.
