hiya guys, im thinking of getting a gpr70 or bt090 for my gixxer4. but im thinking of the size, although for gixxer4, stock rear tyre size is 160, i thinking of changing the rear to a 150 rear instead, since i cant finish my tyres, and my bike steers like a buffulo so hope it'll quicken up the steering as well.

any opinions about this? or it'll be better to stick to the stock size?

whats the most recent quotes u got for the above tyres? btw, would 150size be cheaper then 160? or same price?

like to ask :

- what is this mean? ex: 110/70 17, what is this number mean?

110/70-17

110 = Tyre width in mm. A 110mm wide tyre is also called a 110-section tyre.

70 = The profile, or height of the sidewall in relation to the width (height of the sidewall divided by the width multiplied by 100). A 70 profile tyre is also called a 70-series tyre.

17 = The radius of the rim in inches. Also called rim size.

how much u bought them???

wat size?

I will pefer to use "heat cycle" to rate if the tire still usable.

A Set of tires can have very healthy profile but reaching the end of the heat cycle and deem unusable.

Since u dun feel the rear gripping, maybe its tome for u to get a fesh set of tires.

agree wat u said

Gixxer use 4.5" wide rear rim, same as CBR400, and they happens to shod 150 60/17 as stock trim, and i should add that they turns much better as compared to 160 60/17

the latter makes the bike feels lardy.

give it a shot with the 150 60/17, u like it.

hmm... thanks

my friend if u lookin for tyres dat gives good mileage dont expect it to give u good grip... and vice versa

all the tyres manufacturers are tryin to find tis golden formula, to able to come out a tyre dat can give u outright grip from cold, and give us wonderful feedback frm traction and road surfaces, and yet u can do some serious mileage on it...

pls let us know if u manage to find such a formula...

so for know.. all of us can only compromise... btwn how big is yr pocket hole is, grip and milage...

GPR70 is really a good tyre for a 400cc bike if u lookin for some grips and serious fun wif yr tyres... but seem like yr pocket hole is small, den i suggest u go take Bridgestone.. its a decent pair of tyres dat offer 'resonable' good grip and a very good decent mileage, a rather good compromise.. i would say.. :D

Grip Vs Mileage

Mileage Vs Grip

If Mileage is your major concern, u lose some grip

If grip is your most concern, mileage is secondary

for GPR70SP, if mileage is your concern, my advise, dun buy it

i agree tat . safety is more important everybody only live once !!
