lol maybe spchoo already did it nv sae out only

yo bro, if you want CBR4 i will say go for it, but bear in mind the maintainence compared to sp is two or three times more. so my advise is just to hold out until ord if not change to a cub to reduce costs, then after you ord liao got stable income then buy CBR4

Oh thanks,

Anyway, the front fork seals and oil is replaced, just that the fork ring haven, I yet to change it, (The shop changing for me, but yet to find time to go down)

How to know whether the brake disc is warp? and where is the wheel bearings? How to know whether they still good?

No one answered how to improve the miledge of SP? Help Help!!

Are you sure you pumped to full? Pump to full is to the brim, one shot more of petrol will overflow kind. Full tank when you almost hit reserve should be around 10.5 litres without spillage. Check the amount you pump. Fuel comsumption is also better measured in km per litres. For Sp, NSRR, about 18 to 22km per litre is normal. Heavier people also have higher comsumption. And those who pillion on a regular basis also the same. For full tank, i used to go about 220km max. Service bike, and clear carbon often. Sp Rpm range is built for 9.5 to 10k max, means that whole range can use one. Once in a while high rev your bike, clear out all the carbon build-up. My milege these days can reach 250. I sometimes move off from traffic lights at 7k rpm for 3rd or 4th gear. Some mech told me 1st and 2nd gear dun pull too high, strain the chain and sprocket. 3rd and 4th drag a bit good to prevent carbon build-up. But if going long distances at high rev such as on NSH then for us 2 strokers better to add about 2 or 3 capfuls of 2t into the fuel tank to protect the engine from wear in case your 2t valve jam or what at least got some in the tank to lubricate the engine.

Eh by the way ah, talk about 2t, how many of you got difficulty buying 2t? I tried to get 2t from an Esso station in CCK today, sold out. Go Toa Payoh Esso near the Toa Payoh flyover also sold out. Then the Shell near that Esso only got Advance VSX left and no more SX. Singapore running out of 2t stock or what? I went JB come back also stock one bottle in case got diffucluty buying.

Very informative. Thanks.. Learnt quite a bit from this post.

So I think mine is normal. Talking about 2T, normally how to gauge when to pump now? Though there is an indiciator, but some say that better dun wait till the indiciator lights up. So now i running for almost 2k, (including the previous owner). So around how much more to up the 2T?

And because I dun know what brand of 2T the previous owner pump, he say $8 type, if got alot of white smoke, he uses the $12 ones. So is it okie to mix 2T? Or keep it as constant as possible?

Anyway after reading the posts, I feel that my SP is running normal miledge range, and I follow the advise stated to ramp at 3rd gear to clear the carbon. :)

i've done exactly that too and pumped 12.8L, with margin given to the possible inaccuracy of the JB Mobil pump.

i dun think it's tat difficult 2 open up and check how much 2T u have left.. like tat u can't go wrong and won't cause a piston jam.. :cheeky: try checking every once or 2 wks once...

i think it either your batt weak OR you need to change your recitfier .
