1.2k !?!? i turn to 1.4k lidat i cant even start my bike. Even with hardcore combo kicking + throttling also cannot. If can , start liao muz constant throttle to maintain , once stop throttling engine straight away stall. How to fix the thing ? It really eats alot of petrol i think

It works normal for me loh. When kick few times cant start pull choke and kick once start ler..

batt nd spark plug still gd? clutch cable spoil?

agree wif raven the clutch hosuing problem is juz like metal balls knocking when u are on neutral.. nth 1... dun waste money 2 change... the problem will still come back within some time... average FC for sp should be abt 180 - 200ish km... depending on ur mods.. if u cannot even reach 180 be4 reserve better go tune ur bike....

i can only say, bring it to another mechanic (not the one you bought the bike from), get it checked.

 

i think its ur sparkplug OR tuning if you cant start it easily. ur bike stalls if its in 1st gear and you clutch in while stationary? if it does then ur clutch plates are worn or ur biting point too near...

 

i never ever had probs starting the bike (i throttle slightly when kicking start) even when my rpm is at 1.1k last time. you might want to pull ur choke also if its hard to start in the mornings or at night, thats what its for ^^

clutch cable spoil? not sure too but normal riding works fine for me though.. only the startup is the main problem now.

 

Juz got the bike 3 weeks ago from shop.. FT plate.. dunno shop got change for me spark plug and etc anot though.

Nope it dont stall when im in stationary state and gear 1 clutched in.

Just the problem is the startup part.. Go anywhere below 1.5k cannot start at all ler.

Wah mine around 1.6-1.7k neutral no clutch already quite loud knocking sound liao.. if 1.2k.. i think my balls also can feel the impact of the knocking liao

Hmm, any idea how much it will cost to do the setting back?

my bike's idling 1.15krpm. works fine. get a friend to bring you to their mech or something. 2.2krpm is way above.

 

u get that problem solved first then check ur FC. now ur idling 2.2krpm, of course eat more petrol lah.

changing a new clutch housing is not cheap.. not worth la..... sound sure come back sooner or later wan...

btw normally the fuel meter till where then start to go reserve? mine i think sot alr leh.. above red zone by quite alot then go reserve liao.. wierd.. i switch to reserve all the way.

yes when you are at reserve, when you open the tank cap, you can see some petrol left at the bottom of the fuel tank.

 

8-9litres shouldnt be a prob, but you will have to pump till ABOVE the metal bar across your tank cap opening..

 

of course, if you use reserve till almost dry, you'll prolly pump much more.

 

428hub doesnt make a big difference, its your sprocket ratios that do. how big are your front/rear sprockets?

 

 

i cant remember exactly, but our FC expert, FLYKITE, used to pump 12litres in JB? i cant do it thou *shrugs*

 

 

 

a rough gauge.

 

empty->full tank (brim), 11-12litres

 

reserve (just when u turn the knob)->full tank (brim), 8-10litres

no calculations of FC will be accurate if the starting figures have a very high inaccuracy.

 

the most accurate way is still to ride till dry, push the bike to pump and pump till brim and i mean really brim, like you cant shake and squeeze anymore and like the slightest tilt will spill some petrol out that kind. note the amount of petrol pumped and then ride till dry again, and use those figures to calculate your FC.

 

my old sp could do 340km till dry with about 12.8L of petrol

working that out would be a FC of about 26.5km/L

 

nguoren also another one whose sp can hit 340km. you can check with him also.

Hmm.. my sp juz now ride until so call "Full tank" i think.. at traffic light clutch in change gear den whole bike stall ler.. tried to start again but cannot.. pull choke and kick it works but once i release clutch it die again..

 

But i turn reserve on den can ler.. i open fuel tank see , still got some leh.. the reserve in the tank can be seen de izzit ?

 

Then i go refill.. until full tank , 7.87 litre. Izzit common ? cos my KR fren say can pump til 10..

 

And my full tank (7.87litre) go for 141km.. around 18km/litre only.. sad.. i think my bike very fuel consuming.. dunno how to fix..

 

Btw im using 428 hub.. does it affect alot ?
