guys i read the manual that sp full tank is 10 litres and another 2 litres reserve.. but everytime i pump petrol, how hard i try to squeeze in the petrol i can only go till around 8+ litres.. then my mileage is around 200km without reserve..

btw every time u all pump full, u all can go up till how many litres. and for the number of litres, how many km u can clock.. cause saw sp can go till 250km but my 200km. don know is it because i pump till around 8 litres only?

though e fuel tank size stated in e manual is 10.5 but i once mananged slightly more than 11 litres..was almost dry then

UNHAPPY with shell?

Take your money elsewhere then. I did.

ok here goes

if u noticed, most pple when their bulbs blow, it just becomes black

but if there are cracks in ur headlamp (not the external cover of the lights but the headlamp is e one where u got to remove e sai tao in order to replace)....e cracks will cause air to get into the headlamp and somehow ur bulbs will fuse repeatedly into the shade of yellowish green coating on the bulb glass.

eh....u mean the transparent glass of the headlight? or the reflector behind? :cheeky:

ok this is how i clean my chain. first i will rotate the wheel, topping my bike with the sidestand as support and use kerosene and a brush to clean the chain untill shinning.. then i will ride a while for the dirt to fling out. then after that i will wash my bike with car shampoo, wax, spray wd40 on movable joints etc..

after i will ride the bike for a while again to heat up the chain. after that i will topple the bike sideways then i use pj1 blue label to spray the chain. then i will leave it overnight.. do this every week.. hahaa

so my bike shiny shiny.. but when rain sian half!!

p.s everytime u all lub the chain, u all do yourself by leaning the bike onto you while u bent forward to rotate the wheels and spray the chain lub? how many km then u all chain lub ar? some say see when the chain looks dry some say 500km some say 300km.. can advise.. want keep my bike in good con

mine is simple.

put toolbox under exhaust, rear wheel will lift up and can rotate the chain to spray.

1. use diesel and toothbrush to scrub off grime. i dont scrub off the grease, its impossible anyway.

2. ride around carpark for 5-10mins for chain to warm up.

3. spray chain wax on chain linkages, not the vertical ones as in ----> IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

4. leave bike there.

oh and i normally do it after i've washed my bike, and cleaning of chain as above is usually done once per month, lubing of chain done every 2 weeks- both regardless of rain or shine.

i know if it rains i should lube it, but i just dont have the time.

----------------------

as for petrol, i dont really bother so long as i pump till the brim, normally max around 9litres.

the max ive pumped was 10litres. judging from the emptiness of the tank then, i think should be able to hit 11litres or so if the tank was really empty (not that i wanna reach that stage again!)

does anyone know if keeping the fuel c*** ON while pumping after riding on reserve makes a difference in litres pumped? not that it matters alot to me, i can always try to do that the next time i pump, but i just wanna know.

cheers.

forgot to mention that the best way to clean chain is to take it out and soak it in diesel to remove all the crap. repeat as necessary to remove everything, then add the 'sewing machine kind of oil', ride around then spray your favorite lube.

this is what my neighbor told me anyway.

i'll be asking around for methods on chain cleaning. till i find one that is satisfactory, i'll stick with my current method as above.

gonna be a long week ahead,

here's an easier way to lube ur chain.

start the bike.

kick down to gear 1 and hold the clutch

lean the bike sideway using the stand

this will cause the rear wheel to move together wif the chain, then all u have to do is juz to spray the lube at one part of the chain and all the chain will be properly lubricated.

u need a fren to help u thou.

cheers! :cheeky:

Manual says 10.5l but not sure if the exact capacity same anot as there should be alittle bit of allowance so maybe if u squeeze till the brim can rch 11l? Anyway mine est 25km/l so roughly pump everytime reach 200km.

Anyone does paintwork touch up b4? Not respray, jus touch up on fairing/saitao. Care to share shop/price? I have minor scratches on left middle fairing 2 plcs and saitao oso tio too.

i always squeeze to the brim. when the flow is too high, just tap the trigger slowly and petrol flows out in slow short amounts. best to fill up full than get a rusty tank.

but dont you think filling up to the brim is wasting petrol? when u lean the bike down it drips down via a tube at the top of the tank...... well thats whats happening to my bike if i do it anyways... :(

i loved my sp. wish i didnt have to sell it though. imho okay to get a older 2nd (or 3rd) hand sp. most likely you'll have to do it up, cause most (its true! :p) people dont really bother maintaining it once they decided to sell the bike. but it wont be that expensive, and its a good learner bike i feel. oh yeah, parts are cheap! so dont needa worry so much.

for some reason, the older sp's resale value is still there.. just dont get a newer plate.. sometimes an older bike is more well taken care of than a newer one.. but its all up to luck i feel.. you dont lose much lah, go with the sp! :D
