Hey bros and sis , new sp owner here , have bought a SP off someone and found out that there is no air filter in the filter box , is it okay like this? i heard that without any air filter the bike would actually be more powerful but it will consume more petrol/fuel , is that true? anyone have used K&N air filters and felt any difference in the power and fuel consumption? please advise thanks! :p

hey prince..actually it partially true..but there's slight negative point of view.When the airbox is remove..the dirt n dust can easily go inside your engine and caburator..so in the long run,it must damage ur carburator..i personally using knn air filter..well.feel the difference and the sound abit different.for fuel consumption wise i think u can adjust it tru ur carburator and also see the way u ride..u like to drag lot or just normal riding. :)

Thanks for the advise shiro! i think i'll get the K&N air filter to protect the engine better! haha , my riding style abit aggressive thou. But have you felt any difference in the power or fuel consumption after you installed the air filter?

Nice knowing a cheerful good lad back in the days still riding with the good company. Just need to post again after so many years not coming into SBF to tell everyone he is a good lad and will always be remembered by me and the rest for the fun sing k sessions we had.
