not necessary. But if you take out your piston ring to change might as well change the piston too. Don't double job waste the gasket and the oil. Then spend extra $ on labour.

eh...i was thinking...if the piston is still fine...why change it?

clean it clear of carbon leftovers will do right?

im not too sure of price for SP piston

but for my KRR piston it costs $90 quote frm racewerks

and upz for u for taking such gd care of yr bike! :cheer:

MS the other time when U check my bike U mention to me that there might be some problem with the throttle cable right? Recently after I tune down the idling to 1.2 now ok liao leh, strange. But as a rule of thumb how often should we change the cabling? I so have travel 12000Km over 13months period.

wash da carb, change into maxima engine oil n new battery.

but still feel mah bike hav'nt felt like da one ah used to ride.

probs incurred.. while riding n bout to slow down, ah step onto mah rear braken let go after dat. suddenly mah bike start moving slower n heavier like da rear brake been step on even though ah did'nt step on it.

den ah smell like burnin smell at da rear.. stop da bike n saw smoke at da rear brake. is mah brake pad or mah brake disc need to change?

da mech told me mah disc brake still ok.

i also had a similar problem with my sp last time, basically it could be due to wear and tear in your brake pump kit, you just have to change the spring inside the brake pump kit and it should be ok liao.

The burnt smell coming from the rear wheel could most probably be due to the brake pad rubbing against your brake disc. After you press your foot brake, the spring is your brake pump kit does not release itself back thus causing the brake pad to keep jamming your disc

:btw: you will be surprised how a simple spring like that would cost you :goodluck:
