bros and sis hope u guys have some inputs on these...

for the past few days my wr seem like no response, no pickup. even uncle on the x9 pickup faster haha. but don worry i dont speed neither do i try to race with them. there was once when i was having a pillion. bike feels super low on power and i have to open throttle fully before i can hear the valve opens...any inputs on these guys?

is my wr in grave danger? jus got my ride for 1 mth and still kinda noob in this things..

Posted

alright bro i'll check with my mech..thanks. How much does servicing of valve would cost btw? ...and err one more thing...servicing of valve and carb should be a monthly thing or after every certain months?

I don't know much about WR200s bro, my apologies as my current ride is a GL145 scrambler.

But anyways, have u cleaned your carburettors? Try to go to any dirtbike shop and cleanse it, service your powervalve, then decide if there are other things u can follow up from thereon.

You might also need to decarbonise ur pipes.

You experience bogging?

Do you feel a sudden power surge when u drag ur 2nd or 3rd gears? If you don't chances are your valve is not opening or its stuck.

The noisy and unsmooth happens sometimes when u start on a cold morning. Thats normal as I have it too. Just rev it a couple of times and you're good to go.

Fork, normally unless it leaks, I can't be bothered with it or really, when u feel some kinda imbalance in it while cornering. And I never or cant recall anyone oiling their forks. Is this a known practice?

Maintenance schedule are the norms. Change ur oil monthly, clean ur powervalve and carb quarterly or bi-annually blablabla..

I'm a newbie too and can't help much. It's a sunday and I'm blabbering nonsense when I should be kite-flying with my primary school friends in West Coast. :weep:

Safe ride.

lol nvm found the answers here in earlier pages...thanks bros!

i would suggest you to buy with a dirtbike shop. dont go to those normal motortiam. for my wr i think kena carrot also. dp 800 + 143.80 x 35 mths....u do the maths...dont ever trust their sweet talks even if they know ur mother father grandfather or any of your lao jiaos....unless everything is in black and white.

if u have the cash buy from private seller. no interest. got accessories. cheaper. gd luck! :thumb:

2t pump u mean? some wr have some dont. depends on the previous owner. correct me if im wrong =)

hey guys, i wana buy a wr2. I went to yishun industry just now. Theres a wr2 which cost 3.8k, COE ends 2014. isit worthwhile? any btw, does wr2 have 2t reservoir?

not worth it bro.they will give 3.8k BUT you've to fork out another 600 to rebuilt the bike.no 1 noes the bike condition except that shop and the will turn their words and say no problem...best if u can get those from ppl selling.at least most of them are sincere.as for 2t,wr has it but really depends on each owner to go premix or pump.
