Just wanna share with you guys on my bluetooth mic mod. I purchased this LG Tone Wireless Bluetooth Stereo Headset on Amazon ~$45 and I loved how it works effortlessly with my iphone and helmet on.

However there's a caveat which is the inbuilt mic is attached to the headset. I won't be able to talk on the headset without lots of wind noise disrupting my voice.

So I started by removing the small black rubber covering the screw

Identified the mic

I used a 3.5mm extension jack(male and female connectors on each ends), cut it into two and carefully stripped out the wires. There are 3 wires in total, red blue and copper. Twist the ends of the red and blue and use a lighter to burn each ends ~1-2 sec. After which I soldered the wires to the mic and headset. The use of soldering paste helps the solder to stick to the thin wires and added some silicone sealant.

As for the mic, I placed some sealant and double walled heat shrink tube to form a rigid cover. All done!

All in all I'm very pleased with this mod!
