What is the advantage of rs taichi drymaster over those $35 ones at jln besar?

Drymaster is lighter and water will not seep in especially during heavy downpour

My Arai raincoat bought from advertiser here leaks when I wear it the first time in heavy rain. Very disappointed with the quality. Now using froggs toggs its very light and breathable no sweat and sticky feel compared to the thick rain coat.

hi bro,

what is the model type that you bought from Frogg Toggs? is it the Elite Highway Suit? or something cheaper?

Tempted to buy. My Progrip one doesn't leak, but is bulky

I've tried OGK and Arai raincoat during heavy downpour and water still seep in but no such issues with the Drymaster. Motoworld selling several models of Drymaster and I feel that the $110 model is enough, no point getting the $230 model (compact) unless u really need the space

hi bro,

what is the model type that you bought from Frogg Toggs? is it the Elite Highway Suit? or something cheaper?

I bought the Frogg Toggs Road Toads Motorcycle Rain gear suit, the cutting is very roomy as its design as a outer wear, meaning you can wear these over your armor suit.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/XL-Black-Frog-Frogg-Toggs-Road-Toads-Toad-Motorcycle-Rain-gear-suit-/350585698274?pt=US_CSA_MC_Outerwear&hash=item51a08937e2

I am impressed with the waterproofing, every time my groin area will be wet having tried many other brands of rain suit, but the frogg toggs leave me completely dry. It very light weight, and dried almost instantly by just flinging off the rain droplets, hence there is no moldy smell when keeping inside my box. Its very comfortable, there is no sweating, smelly and sticky feel compare to other rain coats because of the DriPore technology. The material is woven such that the pores is 20,000 times smaller than the water droplets hence water will not be able to seep through but allows the breathability which keeps you dry and not perspiring. The price is cheaper compare to other high end rain coats.

Here is the manufacture description of the rain suit

The Classic Road Toadâ„¢ Suit is built for the demands of the road. Lightweight, 100% waterproof, and breathable, non-woven polypropylene ensures comfort, dryness and ease of movement; while reinforced seams and expandability features provide durability and a perfect fit. DriPoreâ„¢ keeps you dry and comfortable while Frogg Eyzzâ„¢ reflective technology enhances visibility and safety at night and in inclement weather. Guaranteed to stay dry at any speed!

Wear the Frogg Toggs last week to Hatyai, ends up it could not sustain to continuous heavy pouring rain and started to leak. Lucky I can still send back to the ebay seller for refund after using for 5 months.

Bought the RS Taichi DryMaster from Motoworld at promotional price this week, hope it will be able to hold on to heavy downpour.

$99 with a free pair of RS Taichi arm socks worth $45 :)

My colleague recently also bought the RS Taichi Drymaster, but from Ah Boy for $90.

I was shocked that Ah Boy also sell the Dry Master as the local agent is Motoworld.

Still good to buy from Motoworld as they provide a 3 month warranty 1 to 1 exchange if leaks.

Hey Bro,

Just to confirm, the Taichi raincoats warranty is provided by Motoworld or Taichi? If I buy from Ah Boy, I doubt I can get any refund or one-to-one exchange. Just want to be sure here.

The motoworld salesman told me to keep the receipt for 3 months for exchange if the rain coat leaks. Warranty by motoworld and not RS Taichi. Check before you buy.

Never compare the quality, but Motoworld is the local representative for RS TaiChi, better wait for new stock to come in. :thumb:

My RS TAICHI rain jacket started to leak real bad in the torrent rain this week and it's only a year but the pants is still good. I hope can salvage it with 3M fabric water repellent if not going to switch to GIVI raincoat.

These rain coats have a life span from wear & tear of the water proof plastic 'lining'.

Best not to ever wash them vigorously, if u want to wash, hang them on a hanger & spray with water.

Best so far is still rs taichi in terms of water proof-ness & compactness.

I personally don't believe in buying any rain gear above say $80 if use locally.

Regina sell Rev'it at $75 before bargain I already frown at the guy. Maybe I'm petty. Hahahhaa....

Anyway Mah Pte Ltd is selling Givi rain gear at only $50 now. Grabbed one to complement my old Trax rain gear which I had been using for couple years.

Hahahaa.... raincoat leh bro. Of course it'll be waterproof. Only issue is if the rain seeps in from the openings like the neck or wrist. Very decent quality. Feels thick but fold/roll nicely into a small package. The newer model also come with waist velcro and hip rubber tension for a good fit.

U can have any colour as well..... as long as it's black. :p

Hahaha agree lah bro.it's raincoat. But does it perform like one when you encountered heavy rain, even when you wore it properly.

My current one working fine, as long wear it properly. No rain can enter or seep thorough.

Only issue too thick and heavy lol.Dislike wearing it.
