(C650GT) Machine price quote from PML is $22k and OTR for my case is $25K. Local agent is PML (Performance Motors Limited).

Thanks. What made you choose over the TMAX530, if you ever did consider? Sitting on the fence between the TMAX and Beemer...for sure the storage on the T is a letdown....but from web the engine response is pretty good for pick-up and go....

How's the kymco engine on the GT,it response to throttle?

Could you fit 2x FullFace in the underseat storage?

thanks.

I owned 2 silverwing 400 scooters (JDM 04 and Euro 08) a year ago, mainly selection is the under seat storage space and super silence engine. Tmax will never be my choice, small seat storage. For engine response and good pick-up, i already owned the biggest scooter "Honda VFR 1200DCT". No fight..... :)

All those years, I'm eyeing for 600cc scooter and BMW "scooter" came to ours shore. The throttle response is good, no delay in moving-off and my liking is BMW signature. Yeah....

I don't own fullface helmet but reviews did mention able to put 2 fullface helmets.

BMW Scooter Safety Recalls

The BMW scooter has already undergone a recall in the U.S.A. For the first BMW scooter recall, the issue is apparently the side panels, which can become loose when riding.

BMW Scooter Recall 12V556000

BMW C600 Sport Maxi-Scooter. Report Receipt Date: December 3, 2012. Potential Number of Units Affected: 266.

Summary: BMW is recalling certain model year 2013 C600 Sport Maxi-Scooters manufactured August 7, 2012, through November 20, 2012.

Problem: The fasteners on the front side trim panels may have insufficient strength to retain the panels at high speeds. If the panel separates it could interfere with riding and handling of the scooter and increase the risk of a crash. The panel could also become a hazard for other road users.

Remedy: BMW will notify owners, and dealers will reattach the left and right front side trim panels with stronger "snap-lock" fasteners. The recall is expected to begin in January 2013. Owners may call BMW at 1-800-525-7417 or email BMW at CustomerRelations (at) bmwusa.com.

BMW Scooter Owners Report Stalling Problem in Overseas but now it happened in Singapore

Who bike????? My bike lol... :(

Fuel gauge shows 2 bars left but with "low fuel" light ON. Meter displayed 2.7km travelled (after fuel down to reserve).

Travelled toward AYE (home) and bike stalled after exit 9. No error or warning "triangle" sign appeared.... Bike can clank but engine won't start. Call tow truck and tow back to PML.

Seems like you run out of fuel!

Lets us know if its something different.

Yes, i think so. The fuel gauge is giving false read-out.....

Got back my bike this morning, according to the chief mechanic (and also what we predicted) confirmed out-of-petrol. Was told not to rely on the fuel gauge & "low fuel" light, pump-up when hit 280km ~ 300km. All BMW bikes have this problem..... not sure how true was it.

So bike OK but electronic not reliable...

Hmm....

16 litre tank at 21km/L, max range = 336km.

14L = 294km.

I think the mech is right to say top up by 280km. You will probably have 50km to spare.

Since our pump distance during tour is about 200km or less, shouldn't be a problem.

Good to see that you very positive about the new BMW scooter. Keep up the feedback - maybe in time BMW will realise the maxi scooter potential and make their own german designed engine for it with more reliable electrics - when that time comes i shift back to BMW - but always DIY.

I had various BMWs from the 70s, 80s & 90s - some over a few years and always learnt to gauge fuel by known mileage calculations - even though some had 24 litre tanks. Built in gauges & even after market ones always let me down. Other than that BMWs were always an exclusive pleasure to ride and maintain on DIY basis. I finally stop owning & riding BMWs due to back & hip injury and couldn't do DIY.

Do have a lot of pleasure & fun riding your bike.

Hi Scooby - Yes Long time no meet or write in the forum - only refer to now & then to find out whats going on. I still got my SW and whenever in Sin Chia Poh always use it to scoot here & there. I m based in KL area mostly and so far the SW best commuter. Other projects in hand but hardly got time to touch - will be down in SGP soon as thinking of buying a used/laid up Honda CX650 Turbo which needs a lot of internal work - but depends on price.

Ok will try drop by at Rail Mall this thursday - when i m down im mostly staying at Bukit Panjang so its not to far - as long as you guys dont laugh at my SW - always dirty & tatty. Have to be this way to avoid attention in KL parking areas.
