Hi guys,

I'm looking for a 2A tourer-type bike and the NX400 looks like a great option to consider.

However, I need some help in some details, as it's hard to find any information on the NX400 on the Internet.

So, I would just like to know :

1) What's the fuel consumption of the bike?

2) What's the comfortable cruising speed and top speed of the bike?

3) Monthly maintenance-wise, how much and how often to change Engine Oil etc?

Look forward to any replies. Thanks.

Hey bro,

There's a few of us whom are riding this machine. It's a great touring and transport bike. Excellent for. Any type of riding. Fuel consumption. Varies with riding style. Min abt 20 km per liter. Top speed depends on guys. 110 km/ he cruising is effortless. As for maintenance, it's a single cylinder bike, very affordable. Hope this helpS

Wow, sounds great. Been looking for this bike or the Transalp400 for a while now.

In terms of looks/tourer ability, I would think the TA might be better, is that safe to say?

But yeah, with an XR4 engine, this bike looks a steal. What's the youngest model available in Singapore, if anyone knows?

My experience:

1) Fuel consumption averaging 18-22km/litre (15.3litre tank), total of depending on my riding style and traffic conditions.

2) Currently, Im travelling at 90-110kph.. very comfortable even with heavy rider and pillion like me and my gf.. top end ard 140(+/-10)kph, depending on your bike set up. Currently, 16/15-40 sprocket set up.

3) I service my bike monthly as I use it extensively, about 3000km/month. Fully synthetic 2 X 15w-50(1800ml) + 1 oil filter = $55

I can safely say this bike is really tough and aggressive. I've been riding with a worn out cam chain system since day 1 and thank God, so far it didn't/hadn't skip a beat.

Been awhile... Any new owner or ex-owner know where to find or selling parts or accs for this rare bike would be a bonus!... Hehe

Hi all, I got an NX400 from a dealer in South Africa that imported a once off batch from Brazil. I paid around $4000.00 US. Had it 2 years now & done 15 000 km. I love it, it ticks all the right boxes, works well as a commuter, light enough to do some off road and it is easy on the eye. They do seem very rare and most forums are originated in Brazil where it seems to be a premium product. I get around 22km to a liter mixed riding and so far maintenance has only involved oil/filter changes and at 14 000 km front brake pads. The oil filter is the same as for a CBX250 and the front pads are apparently the same as those for the CR125. I was looking at the possibility of a performance kit for it later in it's life and was wondering if Honda Brazil stayed close enough to the XR400 blueprint for the available XR piston kits to be compatible. This bike fills a gap in the market, not too big and not too small with enough performance to put a smile on your dial without breaking the bank.

hello. i just got an NX4. rode a bit las weekend up north. Fun bike. Good on trunk roads. Corner well. Good in dirt too. But on highway past 100 and lots of vibes and engine shaking itself to death. Didn't dare redline it. Rear tyre is non spec (130/80-17 vs 12/90-17). Bikes in the shop now getting serviced. Any ideas? Thinking maybe the carbs need rejecting or front sprocket swapped to 16t? Which shops u guys usually go to?

thanks

Hi, bump your question. I think the bike has more than enough torque stock, so I'd go with swapping the front to a 16T.

Anyone else done that? The bike has a little bit too much kick at lower speed/gears so I don't mind sacrificing some of that for some highway speed (not that the bike isn't fast, just would like to pull at 90kmph at a lower rpm)

My concern is with the chain guard at the front sprocket. If i up it to 16t, would it rub?
