Hey Mark, will like to ask if you know. When I start Engine, I get this screeching sound from the left side of my bike. (Probably from the belt.) But I shake the bike and restart, it's gone. What problem, and how much to fix that?

 

 

that could probably be your starter pinion gear! Let me know if you need a bike check... part from starter pinion should be the puller or nut. Just in case you might wanna get it check this should be the area to look out for.

Hi bros,

 

im riding ST200 for 4 years...last week started to have over heat issue. First, I noticed there is coolant leakage from the below. Went bike shop to repair the pump. After that ride home, park the bike...next day realised coolant came out from the coolant top up opening cap. Went back shop n change the cap. Reached home...few hours later found leakage from the radiator and pump...top up water into coolant...ride for 20 mins...coolant reservoir bloated and later burst (I mean there is a hole of 20 cents size). Bike was towed to shop again. Changed coolant reservoir n top up coolant. Ride the bike again for around 20 mins and heard a "pop" sound and coolant burst out towards me...anyone encounter this problem before? Pls enlighten me, thanks.

 

This is usually the case when the cylinder head and block does not have sufficient space for coolant to travel and also the caused of slugs which obstructs the passageways of the engine for liquids to travel. You might most probably require an overhaul for this Scooter. Get the opinion from the workshop and see how it goes!

Hi Mark.. my bike sometimes makes a loud sound when i start my engine.. it's a loud "ke-tak" sound just before the engine starts running.. is this normal, or shld i get it checked? thanks..

Hey Andy, honestly I haven't had any C600 coming in to the workshop but I am sure it should not be a problem as the CVT is something that we have been working on for the past few years. In any case, since PML will not cover the warranty, it may be equally costly for the OEM parts unless aftermarket manufacturers like Malossi decides to make them available on shelves which could possibly be cheaper than the OEM's. I suggest you may want to consider other brand of scooters before making a commitment to the C600. Maybe the T-Max, Nexus 500 or the Fuoco.

I have encountered a power loss on the highway back home. my speed was around 95kmph and after awhile the whole bike loss power and i release and twist back my throttle the bike was like jerking. I then slowly slow down and stop at shoulder lane, when it is completely stop the engine oil light up. i have to turn off my bike and turn it back on then it will be able to start. Hi bro, you are right, this could be a carburetor problem or manifold. If not it could also be the electrical's and spark plug coil. You can get it checked with your preferred workshop or give us a call if you need any help! it's 81819511. Save the number.

Hi Mark, I got ST200 when running it will run superb.. however recently I crank the engine till battery almost flat but it doesn't start/fire-up...

 

Then, I decide to towed my bike to the repair shop.. But when the mechanic crank the engine it start/fireup as is (without doing anything to the bike) after mechanic diagnose He suggest it could be a faulty spark plug cap... Convince by mechanic theory I decide to change both spark plug and spark plug cap..

 

I give my bike a bit of abuse (accelerate hard/shutdown/crank again and again) to test the function and it doesn't fail... then night come when i crank the engine it doesn't start/fireup again... Then it come to my mind that maybe my bike had a successfully fireup after towing because it receive a heavy shaking during transport... I give my bike a shaking like no tomorrow after that the engine start-up without effort..

 

What could be the possible problem? thanks in advance

Hi there, I would like to enquire that I just took over a secondhand 2010 ST200. However after a few days of riding and I felt that the engine sounded very rough. I went back to the bike shop for checks and was told that the transmission is creating the noise and need to replace the whole clutch and belting. I was coded 340 for the overall repair, is it reasonable?
