:nono: :slapforehead: do u noe tat im not comparing wif other riders or vehicles ?? im comparing wif my own way of using different petrol... My riding style hav not changed & its been consistent all the while be it vpower or other petrol... Tats y i said different petrol affect different vehicles/bikes... :sian:

i know. let me make things a little more cheem a bit...

nobody riding style is "consistent", there are always minute differences in the way u ride due to road conditions, bike condition, even which side of the bed u woke up from... hence the only consistent factor is that the rider is always consistently inconsistent :cheeky:

why am i saying all these? (note: becos its late at nite :p and i'm too boliao)

well... here's the cheem part (read on if you are interested)

if u think of the idea of fuel consumption as a system (such as a set of formulae), it is then sensitive to several initial conditions. such systems over time become unpredictable (layman = inaccurate) because it is impossible to be precise abt ur initial conditions. hence, any idea of comparison (and prediction) is futile.

only part i dun understand is why u wanna bring in the "butterfly" effect.

Someone PLEASE do not try to set a relationship btw chaos theory and fuel consumption =)

and hey man, u the one that I met on sunday at 2nd link?

nice white spec III

becos fuel consumption is a system which the theory applies (implies)

p/s: u can also read it as i'm being too boliao here

u think u some professor or wat ?? MLL, make it more cheem... more like u dun noe wat u toking abt....

Ur "consistent" sounds to mi like some very strict ISO standard. Of course theres minute differences in everybodies riding style every minute. And how many side of the bed u can wake up from everyday ?? Pls lah, loosen up abit... im talking abt average consumption after 100 over pumps & not just 1 or 2 pumps...

(note: i juz woke up, brain haven recharge to debate mode  )

U toking abt wat precise systems ?? CONSISTENT is not "PRECISE"... And do u noe wats an "AVERAGE" or how u caculate average ??

p/s : so does valentino rossi loses the motogp championship when he crash out one time ?? If u noe the answer... u should noe the word "consistency" aka "consistent"...

and to answer ur question... NO, tornado is not set off by a butterfly wings(if u hav evidence, pls show mi)... I heard a MYTH abt some fish in jap tat can detect earthquake...

no flame intended.... :thumb:

Ask you guys, I got SPEC 2 FV plate

While travelling, my fuel guage keep blinking... then when I stopped at traffic light, it shows 1 bar. Then I go pump petrol. I pump at 14.87L of petrol. The mileage I clock is 278.7KM

So my comsumption is 278.7/14.87 = 18.74KM/L ???

How come so bad?

Shell = 21.8km / litre. Change gear at 4k rpm. Speed abt 80 - 90km/hr on normal road and 90 - 100km/hr on Expressway.

"problem" with a vtec engine is fuel consumption can range from 16km/l to 23km/l. or in english: vtec all the way (160km/h ~ 180km/h)... or relac constant speed (80km/h ~ 90km/h) only.

75% ride on highway. = 120 to 130km/hr ( speed) on my vtec II

is this consider high consumption??

To my understanding it is normal lor. My is around 20km per litre but then i travel at 100km/hr or so only. It might be due to you opening your vtec often while traveling at the speed 120km/hr thats y your consumption of fuel is high. Pardon me if i got any misconception. :thumb:
