change engine oil, air filter, oil filter, plugs regularly will help

maintain correct tire pressure also will help

change gear at 5rpm unless necessary

ride constant speed, dun keep on open and close throttle.

all this will help u save petrol

u r riding spec3 rite??

spec 3 vtec cut in rate is faster compared to spec 1??

then how do u attain the kind of fuel consumption?

change oil filter every 10,000km

change to KNN air filter

check tire pressure every 1~2 weeks

average speed 85km/h ~100km/h

try not to open vtec / keep it 6rpm n below

my best record 365km / 15litres (esso)

occasionally use vpower... FC not as good (ard 22km/l) but can feel the power :thumb:

when tire botah, the surface area of the rubber with the road wil be more and thus more friction.

more friction = slower speed + more fuel need to push abit harder + higher fuel comsumption

:cheeky:

correct me if im wrong

I think the EO plays a big part... my own thinking nia only ok...

20w50 seems that gives me the best FC.

Anyone here noes what brand n model of EO got ratings of 10w50... i think this one is beta cos it is much thinner than 20w50 but still holding the ratings of 50 behind~ im looking for 10w50 to try.

Try le then can give u all feedback ma~ heehee

elf moto 4 xt tech full synthetic is 10w-50.....

rockoil has got 5w-50 grade...

anyway grade 50 viscosity is still 50 at operating temp....

first digits 'W' is winter....indicates oil still flow at freezing temp b4 solidify.

for example:

20w = 0 deg.

15w = -10 deg.

5w = -20 deg.

second digits 40, 50 n very rare u find 60, viscosity at operating temp.

singapore climate doesn't fall below 24 deg, so even 20w won't affect anything.

went jb to top up.

my meter shows 360km. but the funnny thig is i haven't open reserve yet.. Could it be spoil ?

den i pump to full.. only 14.68 litres..

so does that mean that i still have 3 litres inside before pump ?

which means my one litre can travel 24km ?

I think like dat count.. aga aga 18litres = 432km ?

I notice size of spocket plays a part on the max distance travelled.

Just changed my spocket to T45 original honda and my milleage droped by 30km.

Not sure the last one size but it's from HKL.

With great Power, comes great responsibility.

if very dry can pump to 17.8 litres. i pump b4 17.8 max. think my frenz have tried b4 over 18 litres lor hahaha but is until ur bike cannot move then u push to the pump station la hahaha.

20W50 or XXw50 do make a diff to me .... like i said is the thickness n viscosity....

now im using 10w50 if any change in FC will inform u all again~

I ever heard can pump 19L, though tank capacity is only 18L. Must do alot of shaking. I guess its cos of shape of tank, which may result in some air space in tank.. So by shaking, may forace the air out for more space for petrol.

Hi all,juz wanna share this wit u guys...

Which SAE rating is the best ?

A: SAE 0W-60 but it is not available, yet !

Theoretically the best possible SAE Viscosity rating is 0W-60, but only small experimental quantities of such lubricants were ever produced. The NASA SynLube™ is rated SAE 0W-60, but it sells for $90.00 per Liter, therefore it is not economical or practical for average automotive use.

Below is the list of SAE Viscosity Ratings in order of preference from Best to Worst.

The Best Possible-

:SAE 0W-60 (Very Expensive)

The Best Available-

:SAE 5W-50 (Possible only with Fully Synthetic Motor Oil)

2nd Best-

:SAE 5W-40 for Colder Climates (Synthetic or Blend)

:SAE 10W-50 for Warmer Climates (Synthetic or Blend)

3rd Best-

:SAE 5W-30 for Colder Climates

:SAE 10W-40 for Normal Climates

:SAE 20W-50 for Hot Climates**

Average-

:SAE 10W-30

:SAE 15W-40 for Heavy Duty Diesel Applications

Acceptable-

:SAE 30 for Normal Climates, but not in Winter

:SAE 40 for Warmer Climates, but not in Winter

:SAE 50 for Hot Climates, but not in Winter

:SAE 5W-20 for sub-zero temperatures, Winter use only**
