change gear ard 4k...somtimes open til 6-7k occasionally...

full tank JB shell V-power 360km++ juz b4 reserve...

wif reserve ard 400km++ (stanboy)

 

 

Ver S

21-24km/l mean 315km or 360 before reserve change at 4000rpm but sometimes 12500rpm to let those horses come out to play

cruise @ 90km/hr

 

PRO BIG

350km to reserve @ 5K-6K RPM

 

Vtec 1

JB Shell V-power 300km cruise @ 100km/hr, rpm usually

400km-caltex @80-100kph, rpm 5k-6k (bluespec)

 

Vtec 2

250km - shell V power - 5000 rpm

280km - shell 98 - 5000 rpm (hsf)

325km - shell 98 - 6000rpm change gear (ooniq)

350km - shell 98 - 5000 rpm (merz65)

325km - shell V power - 5000 rpm (merz65)

280km - shell 98 - 5000 rpm (ck_yeo)

Hello .... my Version S goes to only roughly about 250km distance for full tank. .. think theres something wrong ... maybe can help and give some advice ... thanks!!:thumb:

when was the last time u did a major service of the bike? say tuning n washing of carbs...spark plug,engine oil, air n oil filter change??

actually most impt is yr riding style...if u rev til abt 5k b4 change gear consumptiojn will be abit higher than usual

hmmm ... bought it just bout a month ago .... they changed the engine oil and spark plugs .... air filter checked still new .... and 5k rpm isnt high at all isnt it ???

Ver S can get around 21-25km/l no problem one. Before reserve 300km is achieveable. Maybe u go for tuning first and check air filter. The air filter they checked or u checked.Even u chnaged gear at 5k rpm unless every day u ride very short dist. Like 7km or so.

Best place for tuning??

 

usually they use machine rite...

 

i check with SANFU = > 70

PLANET => 80

 

btw using radicool castrol coolant, need to dilute wth water b4 using???

The front braking seems to not gradual whenever i pull brake gradully with same amount of force...

 

meaning sometime the braking power is harder?? Pls advise S4 rider..

ya man... i also tot of tunin my bike... think its time for me to change air filter as well... any recommendation? heard so far mah motors offers the cheapest K&N sir filter izzit?

I using orig honda air filter $35 cos i once heard K & N filter nt suitable for S4..

somebody's trying to deceive u...

putting KNN filter, u'll significantly feel the difference in the power of the bike...

improves air flow thus saving petrol..

 

anyway, I suspect ur sprocket ratio izzn't for Ver S

last time I purposely went to change my rear sprocket to 45 (instead of 42) for faster pickup...

that time, my full tank can only hit 250km

now I changed back to size 42, my full tank last till 320km at least...

u want even better mileage, heard tat there's a size 39 one... but u gotta slowly find... confirm can travel 380 before u hit reserve...

after tunning...my bike now travel 325 km have not reach reseve..but soon...

hehehe.......

wow...last time can onli acheive 300km without open valve..

this 325..avg 100....occasionallly 90 to 130...

I think also depends on the way u ride. For my specII, I ride nice and easy, can go 300km, if I ride hot and fast, 250km finish liao.

mayb ur brake pump got problem(the lever there)...mine ver, R oso like dat,weht planet they help mi lube n clean the pump area coz no $$ change...last 4 somtime then the prob comes bac...nw change liaoz feels gd... :smile:

May I know whether there are any warning lights when the fuel is low? Or just rely on the fuel gauge? mine is Vtec 1. I also don't know wheere the idling speed adjustment and fuel c*** are. Can someone tell me? Thanks!

u mean they clean up e brake pump but e problem persist after some time??

 

so by changing e pump solve e unblanced braking??? how much bro??

from what i know,when the fuel level is low,the 6 fuel bars below your mileage mark will blink continously from left to right...this is an indication that the fuel level is low...

still running in with my spec 3 but it hit reserve at 280km sometime hit 300km???? is it normal??? i tot wen go slow or never open value the petrol consumption will be lesser??

i m using v-power....:help:

whats your rpm when u change gear?

What the cruising speed you use for running in?

Must try a few time. One or two time is not accurate. Must try say 10 times and get the average. Bcos maybe this tank you travel more expressway and next tank you travel more CBD traffic light area.
