Since u are going to taihin they have Dr Pulley rollers. Since your bike is still new u may consider to use the stock rollers until its due for changing. According to seniors in here, lighter rollers gives u better acceleration.

Btw i might be wrong yet to be corrected:

- Every 1000km (change engine/gear oil & clean air filter)

- 5000km (change air filter)

- 10,000km (change belt & roller) Do the variator required to be change as well?

I think every 2000 to 2500km change EO

Air filter I not too sure.

Belt and roller I think correct.

Hello all....just wanted to ask if anyone did valve clearance in jb like mforce? Did they overcharge?

Also, just realised there's oil leaking from right side engine gasket area. ANyone experienced this before? Does it just require a replacement of gaskets and seals?

Any info will be appreciated, thanks!

For my own routine, i change engine oil every 3 months cos my mileage is less than 1000km a month. You can change the gear oil together as well if you want to or you can do it at alternate oil change. Anyway gear oil is just a few dollars so its to your comfort. As for the air filter its just a few screw away so you can actually open it up and blow away the dust anytime. For stock air filter usually just change it when it gets really dirty. Only aftermarket air filter can be reuse after washing. (Simota, DNA... this are 2 of the aftermarket brands). As for belt and rollers i have not change mine yet since i bought it last nov. But according to seniors the belt and rollers can last for 15000km -20000km. It also depends on your riding style and habit. Variator i don't think you need to change it unless there are really worn out. All this is base on my noob experience... Hope it helps.

According to the SYM GTS manual, engine oil change is every 3000km. No mention when to change transmission oil or air filter.

A word of caution with transmission oil. Most bike shops use 80W-90 grade transmission oil for our bikes.

IT IS WRONG.

The manual states you have to use 85W-140. Our bikes require a much "thicker" transmission oil. After one encounter with a shop that used the wrong oil, I went to Autobacs to buy a liter of Redline gear oil ($20) and changed it myself. My ride is so much smoother. Plus likely for the transmission to last much longer!

I bought benzlube 20 buck . 5 litre. Hypoid type 85 - 140. Can use till foreve

$20 for 5 liters! Haha....ya man, can use forever....FYI, our bikes only needs 0.1-0.15 liters per change....
