Fellow learners, need some advice from u folks. The first right turn after coffee shop, if u r the 1st bike, moving off from stationary after red light, are u allowed to move to middle of the no marking "box" to wait ? Or are u supoose to just inch out from yr stop line abit?

Is this the actual circuit route? If so, at traffic lights, isn't that a left turn?

Ah.... On the road..

That turn depends if you have traffic on the other side that is coming towards you. If there is, you are right, if you are first bike, you go into the box and wait to turn right..

If no traffic coming towards you or no traffic wanting to turn right, then you don't have to stop, can turn right straight...

Thanks, coz this box is not marked with right turn lane marking like the next right turn to test road 2 so sometimes I'm confused.

Go study the pictures and maps in the bike shed. They show the positioning for all the turns

OK Guys, I going to share with you the ALL TIMES SECRET about Lesson 3, the most dreaded figure 8. This is definitely Original and the true master technique that you will not be able to find it anywhere else......

Here, a short story first:

Today when for my 4th times Lesson 3, go round and round 13 seconds, 14 seconds, just cannot and don't understand Why and How.... more like TP test really, FAILED of course .....

Disappointed with my Head pathetically lowered, dragged myself to the counter to book for alternative date. To my surprise, CDC catered for special lesson 3 immediately after mine failed session and I immediately booked it without hesitation.... hopefully this time round, I would be able to save some ego to bring home. I said special because only 2 of us who failed, attended the lesson, yes 2 learners and 1 instructor, conducted by the grand master of CDC - Enchik BAHTERA.

After the slope, followed him non-stop through the figure 8 then Enchik BAHTERA brought us to the Lesson 1 small circuit area. I thought he wanted to humiliate us, downgrading us to Lesson 1 area... I was wrong.

He placed a few cones into something like a curved channel, told us to treat the channel like a starting position yellow line. He said [now listen carefully], get your line of path through the channel and SHOOT LIKE A BULLET through the cones, midway change to second gear... So we practised this technique and gradually he put closer and closer the cones and form tighter channel. So 2 of us, SHOT through the channel. After that he brought us to the figure 8, placed guiding cones to form channel at the yellow line entry position and again told us to SHOOT through in gear 1 and at the yellow line change to gear 2. He said look at the wear and tear on the ground already give away line of tracks for us to SHOOT through. So we SHOT through like a bullet. My timings improved and drop from 14 seconds to 11 seconds and finally I attained best time 10 seconds. So finally I understood the technique and dispelled the fear about figure 8, because if you begin too slow, you will waste time balancing yourself [wobble], pick up the speed inside the figure 8 area and lost the overall momentum. By SHOOTING through, natural balance is attained, and the momentum will carry you smoothly through 2nd gear, and because of the momentum, you can release the clutch almost instantaneously, and pick up speed and save valuable times. With Speed, leaning the bike become also more stable, more able to command and control the bike through the turns..

I so much enjoyed it after learning the technique from BAHTERA, and I finally found that turning through the figure 8 is FUN instead of DREAD! With speed, I was bending so low like a PRO rider finally. With this technique that I have learned, I believe the fears of riding have been broken [now I am not afraid to bend low low] and passage through the remaining lessons will be easier. Now inside crank course, I also lean the bike [push the bike to lean like pushing it away] instead of riding with the bike vertical, I can do counter weight steering already. YES! thanks you to Master BAHTERA of CDC.

If you still have a fear in riding, look up for him for advice but as he is more senior there, see your luck [you should always see him in the bike registering counter]. He is amongst, one of the NICE Malay Master Instructor in CDC, he understood your fear and mistake and have ways and methods to antidote and break it, true Master indeed...

Today register 2 happy learners and true gainers. :-)

Lol. The way you typed damn funny. Congrats to you. But I believe Rijac and Timewalker provided the best tips back in their 2013 entries.

Good luck for your other lessons.

Correction Guys; :-( BAHTERA Technique of Shoot Like a Bullet applies to everything else, including the Pylon and E-Brake, I didn't drop a cone, imagine how great the feat, bending/leaning like a pro, useful also for the E-Brake, but I shoot my mouth too early because it didn't applies to the slow speed Plank.... hahahahahaha...... The dreaded and most infamous PLANK. This night, I tried for the first time. The Plank is dirty grey almost black in color especially in the night, while looking straight at the first cone of the pylon ahead, my tertiary vision is not very clear in the night. Maybe I am giving too much excuses.

So pro out there, any tips for the plank. ???

I used to accelerate fast to get on the plank. One third way in, I will fully clutch in and roll all the way till the end. I find it easier to stay on that way - instead of the half clutch method.

Nevertheless, plank is indeed deadly. All the way till the end, I still did drop off once in a while... And on my TP test, a few people failed because of the plank that day..

Good luck buddy...

Thanks Bro; I think figure 8 must reduce speed, and plank must increase speed. Deduct Points better than immediate failure.

Not sure about that. Good luck for your next try and don't give up yes

Thank you for the motivation. :)

I have clarified with CDC.

Only after booking re-training then you can book for the TP test.

E.G 31 st July Re-training booked , then you are able to book 12 August TP slot.

Attendance before booking Re-TP is not required.

Also TP results is not updated into system thus unable to book TP date until after 24 hours, UNLESS you book over the counter with the results.

So I suggest to any *touch wood* failures ; If you failed, just go to the counter book re-training and TP immediately.
