Anyway i ran out of fuel just now... but it was only 1 cylinder down... crap 250 ml of petrol didnt help recover the dead cylinder so I rode slowly to the nearest station to refuel... 68 miles this time. Final.

 

Anybody notice any consumption differences with different petrol octanes? On my old phantom its quite obvious... on the Fazer it doesn't seem to be so... other than a slightly less responsive pick-up.

You have 5L left reserve light on too? I definitely have that. Our fuel consumption is very close. In SGP i'm getting 22km/l too, not going above 100 on E-ways. (well, for short moments sometimes lah:sweat: )

not really sure the most fuel efficient speed but 100-110 with occasional 120 is not too slow for touring and has nice fuel economy.

 

my best economy was 80-110 varying due to wet weather and heavy traffic.

 

if you ask me, 120-140 would be a nice speed with acceptable economy.

 

i've never tested out the reserve capacity but i believe it to be more than 3.6l based on my milage vs. pumped.

 

not nice to publish my local riding speed but you can definitely go faster. the essence is smooth and easy throttling.

my bike fastest is 140 only. 120 starting to shake left right centre with my top box liao...
