just that dont know The 1 or 6

but i think i know which one to buy already

A 1000 will always have more punch than a 600. How much power one needs is subjective. I've always preferred a 1000. Even in SG traffic, I can honestly tell you that I find a 600's acceleration sluggish. No offence to 600 riders, it's just IMHO.

 

 

well this is what my friends mean also. thats why they reccomend me 1000 instead.

 

 

I don't like to drop gear when I wanna make a quick overtake. Prefer to just twist my wrist.

 

Going up steep twisties like Genting or Cameron, I would still prefer the 1 over the 6. Less down/up-shift effort, and more focus on the ride. 600s just don't have the grunt to make a sustained climb on one or two gear ratios.

based on yr 'friends' theory:

i can tell u, buy 1litre, might as well buy 1100/1300/1400 (BB/haya/ZX14)

tat's e REAL class TWO.

it's pointless when saying 'buy xx (bike), might as well buy XX (bike)'

okie, i'm bullshitting here...:cool:

 

i'm not saying this b`cos i own a FZ6.

power or not is another issue here, $$ is another.

buying a bike is EASY, maintaining/servicing it is the HARD way.

check how deep yr pocket is b4 deciding on the bike, rem u still in service!

 

well, i rode a S4 before & i koe how it feel to be riding @ a constant of 170km/hr (close to top speed liao), it's tiring for e rider & e bike itself.

not to mention the FZ1, the FZ6 can easily reach 180km/hr COMFORTABLY.

i tested a 200km/hr with 2 side panniers, no pillion.

throttle still have way to go.

& of cos the FZ1 can perform betta, i tested it, THEY smoke mi during Malacca trip.

power band for FZ6, well nowadays most 600 need to be 'push' to perform.

anything above 7k rpm on the FZ6, u'll feel the pull.

 

 

 

noted. i think most likely i'll get the 6. cannot tahan the 1's insurance.

i'm riding a vtec 1 now and i only use the power for the first 3 gear, broing rite !

and like one of u guy say, married witk kids, dont inten to put to much money for a bike

TBH, the only differences between the 1 and 6 (besides the buying cost) are:

- Insurance

- Road Tax (negligible... $120 diff is nothing)

 

All things being fair, you pay the same for maintenance.... plugs, oil, filter.

We're talking about the running costs and cost of normal maintenance (excluding spare parts).... and not about the tech specs.

 

180 and 190 tyres no diff in pricing.

to maintain a FZ1 is the same As FZ6, other than the tax/insu/petrol/price hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. u know what FZ1 are less than 20Kg heavyer but it have 147HP compare to 79HP for FZ6

I used to own a 600cc n a 1000cc at once , so far i feel tat there r no difference running them except for the tax n insurance .

 

But i realise i spent more time riding the 1k out more often than the 600 . :cheeky:

in europe 600cc is just a medium class bike...n those 1000cc^ -.-" tua gu

 

but yet fz6 is eur best sellin bike...even they also cannot tahan the power of 1000cc.lolx

You can feel the no. of horses ah... impressive...

 

At the end of the day, ifyou are comparing the maintenance cost...etc, then all I can say is that you are not ready for a big 1... Live within your means to stay comfy, ya...

 

nevertheless, we still welcome you to join us for kopi regardless of your ride... :cheeky:
