any common on this windshield, to me, like still very short

Looks very nice.It will still do its job to protect you from the wind blast.

Dun think only those "Goldwing" screens can do that.U will feel hot with those tall wind screens.

Past rides are already history....

Current ride: FW VFR 800 ABS

hi,

Check with you guys.

After stopping the bike, the radiator fans are usually activated. How long should i keep the fans going before i switch off the electrical system?

Thanks :)

Dey,

If you parking the bike for the night, then just turn it off.

If you're gonna ride off in a little while, then leave it on till the fan cuts out. The system should be familiar to the 04'R1, since this bike is derived from it....

Fan comes in at 104C... cuts out again at 100C. Eh, the bike got thermometer not?

Guess it's slightly different from R1. Fans still spinning after sub-100 deg. In my old bike, I have to wait for fan to cut off which only takes around 3 mins. in this bike, fans still spinning after 5 mins.

And yes, it does have thermometer.

Gotta give it time I guess. Still running in, will run a lil hotter, and less efficient.

What mileage you getting till reserve for now?

The 04 r1 has its fan kick in when 105deg is reached whereby the fz1 kicks in at 98-100 deg . Anyway on both bikes , i usually off the bike immediately after i have parked it . But i seldom have the fan on when i rode my fz1 as compared to the 04 r1 .

thanks for the reply.

From the responses, i guess that turning off the electrical system before the fans are cut off should not have any adverse effects on long term engine damage ya.
