hi guys, im new to this forum and and juz recently got myself FZ1 carb model...juz wondering wat EO should i use, intent to use the bike for long distance touring, so should i use full syn or semi-syn is good enuf for the engine? Thnx..and which shop offers the best price for EO. so far, my fren told me, motul semi syn 20w50 cost $12 at dunlop street.

bro use fully syn.....i always use that from 2 years ago until now...and i go touring a lot as well..it work out well for me...

orite brader! did a search online. some says ful syn are betta others says semi syn are betta.. cant make up my mind, but i guess i'll stick to full syn like u say. if works well on ur horse, then it should do juz fine on mine!

I believe it will be a Sat Morning. Taking it slow easy and at nite some of them will try to be Uncle LIM's Godsons!!!

do u find the 20w 50w viscosity on the thick side when the bike is warming up?

 

i just changed to 10w50w and i feel the difference in the morning.

warm up period not as long required

from the search i did onilne. i say 20w will be gud enuf since singapore doesnt have winter. but of coz a 10w will get to werk faster than 20w during start up since its thinner and able to get to those sqeeuzy spot in the engine much easier.

i dont have a engine temp gauge, so its hard to tell really what the normal operating engine oil temp. is. So will have to still to the min. 5min rule.
