hi guys, just want to share...

The other time went for PumPet at 2nd link.. my bike went out of fuel just

the exit of Gelang Patah RnR. Had to push my bike to the Petrol Kiosk.

Its a surprise to know how many litres this FZ6 can hold.

I filled up 20.201 liters of petrol.

Mileage was 410km with 90+km to the reserve tank.

The FZ6 is one bike which i think has a good fuel economy!! I am amazed really.... i would love to have it as a daily commute.

 

One to tank to KL/Genting... that's good imho. And you probably have not hit reserve!!!

Anybody has any idea what is the going price for a MHR "TP" Helmet at the moment?

 

I was quoted $80 by a shop that i know they have a supposed" shipment in yesterday (Sat 12/7/08). I will check them out again if the shipment really did arrive.

 

Since when MHR prices went up so high????

 

I know some of you did advise me of a price hike on these helmets but they are opportunists.... $80 is really unreal!!!

 

I am looking to buy 2 helmets so would be nice to know i am not "carrot'd"...

 

Might look for something else..... any suggestions???

- jus collected my FZ6S yesterday.

- my bike olso got e burning smell, but stil acceptable.

- think all new bike olso got dat kinda smell, its only whether izit nice or stinko.

- s i hardly pillion & i kinda small size, izit ok dat now my chain slack is

- knocking sound izit due to unsuitable type of petrol? (read frm owners manual). Cos i got dat knocking sound lei.

- or izit i rev 2 high liao. After stoping, i realized ohh, e speedometre is in mph! Aniway, had adjusted to kph liao.

haha..'chou ta' still got smell nice 1 har..hehe.. if u find that the rear shock is too hard, then adjust to a softer setting that u prefer. What do u mean by knocking sound, dun get u. Mine oso in MPH when i first got the bike,took mi a few daes to realise that..

 

the bike in the pic look exactly like mine..wahaha..btw is ur header silver or gold in color??? I found another FZ6 in bikeshop with silver header, duno wats the different???

Any comment on HJC LIFT UP FULLFACE? Or lift up fullface in general?

To the poor FBC Fazer 6 guy who can't affort to buy ur own headlight protectors and stole mine, I hope you will crash or suffer your damages and losses more than me. Don't buy a Fazer and Givi V35 panniers if you can't afford to pay less than $50 for the protectors. I do hope that I won't be so luckily to see your bike with my protectors cos I will definately recognise your bike and my protectors. Fellow bikers, be careful of such cheap skate riders.

There's all kinds of riders out, good ones, bad ones, cheap skate ones. Unless you carve your name or bike number on your protectors, there's no telling that the rider is the culprit since the protectors are readily available in the market. And also, the rider can deny all he want and seriously there's nothing you can do.

 

My friend had kena this kind of cases before, but all he can do is curse and swear then resign to fate. Just our luck that this kind of people exists.

 

Hope you can get over it soon, and get yourself a new pair of protectors.

Best thing to do if you see that bike again, and with your headlite prots on.

 

Push it down on its side after you've retrieved it.

The CL max, only the main part of the liner is washable rite...Might not be that great given out hot and humid weather.

Good Morning everyone!!!

 

How's your weekend???

 

Mine's not too bad... happy i got some quality time riding and of course.... DURIANS!!!!

 

Really a case of durian OD!!!

 

It was a ride with lots of emotions.....

 

1) I "gamely" joined the convoy of smaller bikes, ranging from Kupkias, vespas ...etc..... throwing some big bikes who wants to go slow... I went because i have a cousin riding a X1R!! - BAD DECISION!!! The slow ride was painful!!! Felt the sun most of the time and not much wind...my wife says she wanted to fall alseep.....that how bad it was!

 

2) The ride consisted of 100++ Bikes and probably close to 150 riders/pillions. So it was massive!! Exhilarating!!! excited....

 

3) Realised that such a big convoy also means.... it takes a while for people to top up/ form up and move off.... so more waiting....

 

4) Got to the plantation.... and had the MOST Wonderful durians honestly!! Veyr good and almost overdosed on durians... but really very very good.

 

5) Left the group as i wanted to rush for a wedding dinner in the evening.... also to siam the whole waiting game.... with the large group.

 

6) rode back.... andit started to rain.... Heavy!!!.... put on the rain coat and pressed on...

 

7) At the top up at Machap.... i waited for my dad to reach us and top up... waited for damn long and finally they throttled in.... only to find out.... In Tow was my cousin who was out of fuel for the X1 R..... was towed in with a rope, dad brought along... they rode the last 30km in tow... in the rain!!!

 

8) After leaving Machap and re fueling....rode by a commotion in the front... only to find out that a fellow rider from the group actually met with an accident - getting hit by a tow truck!! And all i saw was a bike on the floor with many bikes crowding around the area.... i decided against joining the group so we pressed on in the rain.

 

9) Rode for another 20-30mins in the rain and the skies cleared.... so took off the rain gear and continue in the hot sun....drying our gears in the process....

 

10) Got to GP bike wash... and washed the bike.. always the highlight of the day!!! Had some food..... AND Decided to skip my wedding dinner appointment!!!..... but of course... the ang pow went ahead!!! Coz we were too tired and just wanted the rest of the night to ourselves.... got home at about 730pm.

 

Not too bad for a weekend!!

Mine is definitely not the FZ1 with the wet-sounding LV pipe

 

Mine is the black FZ1 (guess it's the only FZ with this color there) but i reckon the crowd is way too big liao
