Hi Bro fir, care to share how much you got your AK for & also which model? If its a one off deal, no worries then. Thanks in advance.:p

I got the Akra Carbon Hex Slip on only....

I am not sure if its one off.... but i am pretty certain it is not as they are asking whether if we wanted a pipe for the Gen1. I got my female colleague who works for me to make the call, i was surprised with the quotation.

Price did not come with installation as they do not install. If you have a good installer, than it could be a good deal.

I guess it will not be nice to post the price here. Let me know

Hey... if that's the scenario, then I think it's normal. Cos no matter what tyres you use, crawling through grooves will definitely tramline your bike to one side.

I'm talking about running at high speeds and your tyres suddenly runs into a groove in the road that causes your path to slew to one side. The flatter profiles (190/50) as opposed to the more sharper/rounder profiles (180/55) have more resistance to tramlining.

no its not normal

didnt have this on other tyres before

but this pilot road tramlines, esp. at low speed.

same route different tyres, same story from the pilot road

im using the 180/55.

is dat what uve got?

i dont know if i should upsize.

wider tyre does not mean more grip also.

By the way, all the RACEshield are intact. Take a long time to remove, & cannot use again either :p

actually, personally I have removed raceshield before and re-used it.

needs abit more effort to put on though.

removal for a large piece of greater than 30cm in length takes about 15secs.

just scrap the end and pulllllllllllllllllllllll...............:p

I'm on a 190/55. But basically whatever tyres we're using, the front shd remain the same at 120/70 or 60.

From what I observe, when you run through a significant groove or rut in the road at slow speeds your front tyre will always follow the groove and turn the bike. It won't really matter what tyres you're using... unless those things are tank treads.

During inspection... they only "worry" about emissions....

Once legalised... they never measured the decibels....

But if you ride around without a silencer where there is supposed to be one... then you are on your own...

Caught.. i think you need to do a donation and also go back for inspection....

Well...:thumb:

When the MO is over, I will contact you guys how to make the payment. Once the full payment for the raceshield had been made to AR2 Performance, I will let you guys know how (or rather when) you can go install after making arrangement with Stan :)

128db during the first inspection, uncle very nice reduce rpm to sound abt 95db, shutoff, direct me to do papers & let counter staff take photo, he shoot off go for lunch laios.

Once you have the papers along with you, just show even if you are stopped. Chances are you will be fine. But if you are being pulled in for some other reason.. good luck.

I once got stopped for pipes sounding too loud. But after checking the papers, me & TP had a good chat on bike... coz we are both VFRs.. only that his is not the vtec version. :thumb:

Thank You.

Update for those who doesn't know...

I just went to M-technik during the day just now.. H&B has a new rack system similar to SW-motech for FZ1 06-08 models... it's called the Lock-it rack.. it costs more though den the older version racks.

Only drawback is, u can't put a topbox with the rack, only panniers. Only the older version racks can put topbox together with panniers.

forgot to ask about FZ6 though... sorrie 600 guys...
