Read from http://www.fz6-forum.com, FZ6 07 and newer models has the 02 sensor. So everytime we do some mod to bike, remember to disconnect the bike battery and reconnect it for the ECU to do its mapping.

 

Or if you have the extra cash, can always go for PC3, otherwise, i stick to the battery method.

 

 

regarding the disconnect and reconnect of the battery to the ECU, isit the positive wire or negative wire? Also, need to turn on the ignition power during the disconnection?

guys, can anyone enlighten me whether its advisable to spray WD40 into my ignition key hole? my key hole is giving me a big headache.. it takes alot of effort to switch my ignition to on since i got my bike last week.. this morning it suddenly became real difficult to switch on.. it took me a few minutes to on my ignition each time today... hope its not because someone tempered with it... i understand the ignition is equipped with an electronic device tt sync with the key, tts y im afraid to apply WD40... called bikeshop and they asked me to apply WD40 though.. im still unsure... anyone can advise??

eh..... i also face similar problem before

apply a thin layer of chain lube on ur key, will be better. actually there is an angle to turn on ur ignition.

when inserting ur key push slightly upwards at 1 o'clock postion then unlock ur handlebar. then push to 5 o'clock to turn it on. maybe this helps =D

Can I be the marker? So I can zoom out from the middle of the group, rush on ahead at 170kph, then stop to mark location. Rinse and repeat.

when inserting ur key push slightly upwards at 1 o'clock postion then unlock ur handlebar. then push to 5 o'clock to turn it on. maybe this helps =D

i'll try yr method tml the 1st thing in the morning =)

looks like there's still so much to learn about this bike man... but overall im still a satisfied owner of a fazer.. heh

(1) if inserting e ignition key is kinda difficult,

 

- jus need 2 lubricate e key very thinly, engine oil or WD40 or any lubricant.

 

- best is 2 lubricate other key-holes 1st (eg. seat or helmet-holder lockset). Then clean off e excess lubricant on e key, then insert e key in2 e ignition key-hole.

 

- DO NOT spray WD40 or drip lubricant in2 e ignition key-hole.

 

- by rite e key-hole shd b kept oil-free, by left some ppl lubricate it. Up 2 individual, no rite or wrong. :goodluck:

 

 

(2) if turning-on e ignition switch is kinda difficult,

 

- jus need 2 tilt ur handle-bar (applies 2 older bike, s e handle-lock catch is somehow seasoned oleady due 2 wear & tear).

 

- jus need 2 push e igntion switch up or dn or left or rite, find its easiest spot. (applies 2 ignition switch which somehow had been tampered with)

 

- once 'soft spot' located, remember it & use it in future loh. :goodluck:

1000 cc a requirement for marshaller's bike for the event,be proud of a 600 too!!!

To be advised after 15th nov,when i go for TP briefing

convoy route from old police acdemdy to singapore flyer

 

- escort by TP? :lovestruck:

 

TP will help to block traffic for junctions if neccesary.

ya..yamaha always got this prob...u'll get use to it after sometime..there's a technique on it. gd luck. :)

good morning everyone, by the way anyone got the problems with ur handle bar alignment? mine is slighty bending to the right. i tried bending it but the problem still comes back. anyone got solution to tis.?

Yah, vic is right.. just push the key upward or downward, to clear from a catch then shd be able to turn with ease... a little something in a yammie.

 

but mine dun need lah,think the 'hole' been used too many times liao :angel:

Both of the wires. From the fz6 forum, just disconnect the wires when its the power is off. Let it rest for like 5mins and get busy with some other stuffs. Then reconnect back the wires and start your bike.

 

You should notice the change in fuel combustion. How the ang moh tell is they smell the combustion from the exhaust and determine whether its too fat or lean.

 

Nonetheless, PC3 will be the best to fine-tune your bike.

Not sure whether its ok to spray it directly into your ignition key hole. But what I did was I spray a little amount onto my key and then insert it in.

 

Repeat it a few times and you should be fine :thumb:

Hi man if you cant get the alignment fix, OEM handle bar cost about $45
