check for loose screws holding signal lights, IU, loose strap?

 

or is it the Super4 syndrome? engine chain tensioner?

 

All the above u mentioned are fine...sound shd b coming from engine. Duno where went wrong. o_O

FZ6 08 bros, is there any tick tick sound coming from your engine when stationary? Mine has this sound and when accelerating got another sound, dunno how to describe. sound heard only when accelerating, let go of throttle sound is gone. Any1 encounter this behaviour?

 

i think ure referring to the FI sound:cheeky:

its not always the problem will occurred, but i believe in a long run. The sound might can constant. Tick Tick sound is when i start my engine and accelerating off. However seems like when the engine getting hotter, the sound is gone.

guys have anyone change their FZ1S original signal cover to clear type something like spec 3 one ? if yes where to get the clear signal cover and the orange signal light bulb also.

guys, does anyone here ac tually follow a strict below 4k rpm over 1000km when running in an fz6? cos iv been doing so for the past 100km, but it just feels too slow. also, what is the normal operating temp before the fan cuts in and out? I'm trying to hear for it, but to no avail. always temp would go up a max of 105degC.

hm, patience my fren:cheeky:

 

fan starts @ 100 degrees...140 degrees n ure machine would auto off...but 105 still ok...how come u ride below 4k rpm:sian:

if u read the manual pg5-3, it would tell u how to break in ure engine smoothly..

Yikes!!!! Was too damn excited in riding it to actually read the manual fully. Aldo, was dumb enuf to listen to the guys at M1, who told me to ride below 4k rpm. Now i can really ride comfortably. hehe. but does the manual also saying i shld not drag gear for too much?

Oh ya, know where the places to go to get Remus, Akra, or Leovince exhausts? Wanna compare prices, to see which suits my budget...

usually happen when gear 1 goin up to gear 2. sometimes gear 3.

also sometimes while hard accelerating (gear 2-4) engine suddenly dies off for 1sec and back to live again giving a loud backfire.

 

any1 able to identify it?

Hm, you may wanna try checking your plugs 1st. If you find it chao ta, den u may need to find out if your carbs are running too lean which cause carbon to build up quickly easily.

 

after that may be due to valve la, piston ring la, the more serious ones.:sian:

fwah.. better not be those serious 1 lo.. juz spend quite some on front fork, chain+sprocket and clutch plates.. :faint:
