So be sure that you use a brakepad which is known for it's performance. Not necessarily good but so long it gives you the sharp bite you want each time you squeeze the lever.Just my 2 cents.Ride safe fellas...

i only use OEM brakepads,it may cost more but m not going to use any cheap pads that going to eat my galfer disc..:D

nan..this is overdoing it.

i run in all my bikes at 800km, 1600km, 2400km , 5000 km then will change oil every 5000km.

But of late, i dont follow the 5000km oil change interval because my bike hardly touches 3000 km per year, so i go for 6 months oil change regardless of the mileage achieved

I think you're referring to Goldfren's brakepad if I'm not mistaken.I've used a couple before on my motard.Even though the website stated that it's a HH brakepads,it doesn't feel like one at all.The bite is not sharp at all and during rainy days,WORST!I'm not condemning the brand but I'm very particular when I select my brakepads.Like what maxxmadness aka 35 said

I am using GoldFren now. Good for my usage. Have not tried EBC type. Tried Carbone Lorriane, effective. BUT! The dann pads finished within 6 mths with always many brake 'hoon' powder coated on my rear rim...:sian: But it is grippy. :thumb::angel:

The Fren thingy, they also have NewFren brake pads. So need to check it out.

Yupz switchable... for me its quite effective.. can really feel the diff between stock....

especially @ 200s...

Ooh.... you are fast! Thanks, that dann seller fly me kite by the BAY.... My R1 pump will not be in soon unless i got to hunt again....

Semi sync or Fully sync?

If fully sync, that is extreme! I did the 2500km-3000+km oil change for semi sync oil.

Oil change when your oil is subjected to high temp and extreme handling (almost every week up down Thailand at 200kmph) Or when you deem that the oil gives you rough feel after some mileage and you want to try new stuffs.

Seah Imm opp the cable car tower....

The food centre is between the 2 public carparks. Used to parked there for many years during my NAVY days in Brani. Good location to Ali Baba stuffs. Quiet, vast area hard for surveliance...

Heard a story, a serviceman got charged during office hours & when he left the base for his bike at Seah Imm, his found that his 2 exhaust pipes (Honda PGM) went missing... Not his day!

One bike got shifted to another location (for fun only by colleagues, well NAVY boys, i love em) and owner found missing bike at the carpark. Later found when the prank team reveals to him.

The best location to part there is the one near the overhead bridge which used to link to the other side of the road. Cos got many passerby along the pavement. Canvas the bike to avoid attention (ya, i know, it troublesome...) Put coupon, if not aunty flip the canvas and nvr put back properly, strong wind flew the canvas away and reveal your 'SECRET LOVER' to public and thefts.

The other carpark beside the road to interchange... big and lotsa lots. BUT too isolated liao, no good.

How about you change the plugs back to the standard ones and see if the symptoms remain. It's better to start off from the easy, cheap attempts then move up the ladder to the more complex/expensive fixes.

Which valve the mech were saying?

Fuel valve or

engine exhaust & inlet valves?

How old is your bike?

What is your idling rpm? Is it too low?

Check for fuel line kinking esp if you removed the tank when doing plug changing, high chance. There were some discussion here b4.

Check the temperature of the header pipes when morning starting, DO NOT SCORCH your hands. The header pipes which is much colder than the rest, that plug maybe fouled. If too heavy jerky (usually more than 1 plug or 1 cylinder are got problem).

Possible engine valve leaking (lost of compression sealing) but NOT many ppl so suay unless it is an old enigne or with very high milage or poor maintenance. Engine valve servicing (cleaning) i have heard of. But very very rare... I did that when i top overhaul my CBRR and that is only for the sake of cleaning then clean, not becos of heavily carbonised.

Smell for any strong unburnt fuel for any excessive incomplete combustion, slightly is ok.

Like bro DeusExMachina said, always troubleshoot from the easilest and cheapest ways before jump into expensive 'servicing'.
