for fz6 fc,

but fz1 got better ergos than an r1:thumb:

Slightly. The 'bloom stick' handle makes the bike look sharper but posture still not as good as Gen 1 handle bar positioning and angle. Ok...maybe still sharper handling than Gen 1.

Hardcore pushing....i like that. Remind me when i push my old TZR from Tiong Bahru Plaza to Jalan Bukit Merah (Southern Motor).... in middle of the nite, when my front sproket gave way... :sian:

  • This is Singapore, that's the kinda culture some people here are adopting. Simply losers! :slapforehead:
  • No point making our bikes so beautiful but ride like a sissy.

FZ1 06 onwards got 18lit tank. Surprisingly, this bugger sucks gaso more than her cousin R1! I keep track on my fuel comsumption. On average, she drink 1 lit of gaso for 14.5km. I travel short distance per trip. In longer trip, she reserve light blink at 260km on the trip meter. My bro's R1 seems to be more efficient than mine. Busa approx 15km / lit..... not yet properly setup.

Oh you got it right. Believe me, I know.

R1'04 and FZ1'08. Both same engine. Same 18 lit capacity fuel tank. Same 3.8L reserve.

R1 gets 250km before the reserve lights come on.

FZ1 gets, at max, 230km.

I'm thinking it's due to the weight diff. 172kg dry vs 199kg.... and the stupid exhaust design and ECU conforming to the damned Euro emission laws.

Gen 2 definitely sharper handling la. Twin-spar aluminium frame vs steel tube. :D More stiff. :p

Remember I sold my tyres to you when I first got the bike? Changed the rear profile to 190/55 which jacked the rear up about 1cm and put more front end bias. Could really differentiate the "before and after" feeling.

So now, I've changed back to a 190/50. :p To compensate for the weight bias, I've dropped the fork down 10mm. Still feels sharp and tracks turns nicely, but because of the more "blunt" x/50 rear profile, it turns in a wee bit slower.

go to those DIY shops buy some rubber stopper to modify. it may help.

hmmm..

thanks for your suggestion..

will go try out next weekend..

:p

You talking about the rear one or front one?

For rear indicators, just change the whole thing. Get rid of that ugly ladder sticking out the ass of the bike (they call it the fender  ), and change it to a nice license plate holder with smaller cutouts for indicators.

ya..

i gotten the license plate holder already..

but the bracket for holding the signal light is exactly the same as original which is not round in shape..

therefore asking around see got any after market adaptor for signal light or not..

bro, if u r looking for any metal bracket / adapter, autobacs have those... i happen to saw those on my last shopping trip...

hmmm...

when you going autobac again??

want to go together??

lol..

It should be normal for new FZs, mine got once 'ultra man' when the trip is 180+km only! :sian:That was when i did lotsa city dwelling... if go for longer trip, let say 90km of travelling per day....it 'ultraman' at 260km.
