u mean the aftermarket midpipe leo vince for FZ1na nd FZ1s is different ?

Not suppose to be diff. Anyway, when you removed the stock can which also together with the stock mid pipe. They are together. I dun think they should the diff.

I found the part manual for the leo vince online and it has a bracket with rubber stopper for it which i presume its for the main stand

Check out below the link

https://www.leovinceusa.com/schematics/large/DT-7662.pdf

Yes, they have a metal piece which to be mounted on the main/side stand mounting Plus a piece of rubber stopper. That is for to cushion of the hard slamming main stand onto your pipe, frame etc.. (disregard that useless piece of rubber...easily lost after some slamming action from the main stand.) Like our Dabonz mentioned, step on the main stand before letting go your bike from the main stand is the best bet.

2) after mounting the end can, the space between the end can and the swing arm is less than one finger spacing, meaning you cant put a finger between the end can and your swing arm, as verified with racingter.

Why open so big gap? Suppose to be snuggly close to the bike. As long they are not in contact can liao. If talking if 'buang', the poor can may slap the bike, then any big gap still kena slap la... just besure that all alignments are checked correctly before tighten the screws... hahaha. I know your concern.. dun worry la  just ride... before you got ppl LV their FZ, surely after you still got ppl LV their FZ.... If really kena, thenour Mr. Ong already 'TEO' liao...

I didn't know I already in love with my Slow Little Greenie until recently almost selling her away...how can like that? :faint:

Hi Guys

Check with you all, Ohlins or Hyperpro Damper is better huh?

Cause Hyperpro is a "Active" damper while Ohlins for 16 click for adjustment i think.

What's 'Active' and what are the prices bro?

What's "active"?

Controlled by electronics?

The worlds only active damper.

Hyperpro's RSC "Active" valving means that as steering speed increases, the damping automatically increases.

Price i think Ohlins more ex.

Bt brand wise, Ohlins sure win de..

Hi Fazer 1K riders out there, just some interesting facts to share.

If you ever suspected that your Fazer 1K's battery is going to die, here are some tell tale signs -

1) When you press the ignition, your display will go blank.

2) The tachometer will jump up and down.

3) The starter coil would crank for more than 2 sec. Do not over crank as it can cause your coil to spoil and that would be more costlier than the battery.

4) After riding, we would assume that the battery would be charged back rite? Wrong, despite riding, the battery would not be recharged coz the voltage is too low. It may seem alright and S/N 1) would not occur but after a few more times, 1) would come back to haunt you.

5) The voltage output from the battery dropped to less than 12.4V (Brand new batt is 14.2V). How to check, read your manual. There is a guide for you to follow during starting up. It will show you the batts voltage. Otherwise, just open the rider seat and use a voltmeter to measure.

6) And the last piece of news - Brand new Fazer 1K battery (Yuasa YTZ 14S costs S$170/- at HKL)

Hope this helps. Cheers...

Why does it always rain on me...Even when the sun is shining, I can't avoid the lightning...Oh Where did the blue skies go, why is it raining so cold, so cold; (Travis)

Hyperpro have two types of damper. CSC and RSC.

CSC = Constant speed control - It work thru out all speed, same as Ohlins.

RSC = Cost more and it will be active when it detect any sudden major movement like tankslapper.

Yap Yap

**Old** CSC = Constant speed control,

**New** RCS = Reactive Safety Control: The HyperPro RSC is the only active valving damper available. As steering speed increases, the internal valving changes automatically to increase the damping effect. This results in a light, easy handling ride at low speeds while still keeping the heavy damping during extreme situations
