i have the above on my fazer, except that the switch is in red instead of grey, it cost me around S$15 for the switch, get it at scramblers shop, you can use XR4 master switch if all else fail

U shud get 2 Black n 1 Red key.

The Red is very important coz tat is the so called the "Master" key if u lose both the black. Not forgettin pls never to place both the black n red key next to each other. Just leave the red key at home.

The red key will also come together with a small metal piece. There is a 4 digit No on tat metal piece. Tat number will be use to reprogram the ignition if u suay suay lose both the black keys. I think there is an artical on how to get tat red key to work in the Yamaha manual.

RED KEY is very very important. I called Hong Leong and they said that if i lost the RED KEY, i will need to buy the ECU, Ignition Lockset, Helmet Lockset, Fuel Tank Lockset. If thats the case, then the replacement costs would be S$2,500 give and take a few hundreds. Nobody can reprogram the ECU locally. So, to every Fazer owners with the Immobilizer function built-in... RED KEY is super important (so much so i would leave it in a safe if i have to).

i think this applies to yammies bikes only ba... my frn who is riding a blackbird, lost his keys and was told the similar situation from Boon Siew, cost around $2k too... but we manage to find alternatives which only cost $30 and the end result is the same!

If u got only one black key at the time u bought the bike, u shud be gettin another spare black key n one additional red key later today.

hey guys! i'm homeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... with my red machineeeeeeeeeeeee...

 

Exciting day really.. first i forget to bring my helmet there.. then after i reached there.. gotten my bike... i realised it's leaking EO!!!

Went back to bike production.. was thinking of acting fierce but decide otherwise.. then they ask me to go to their workshop (or was it theirs?) at AMK Park 2 to get my oil filter replaced...

Have since replaced my oil filter but then again... they didn't change my EO a bit frustrated though because the EO looks to me it haven't been change for years!

 

I'm still monitoring to see if it's still leaking.. the last time i had this problem on my S4.. i had to change my oil seal, filter etc...

 

I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that this is not a 'lemon' (bike with hidden problems)

Sub-throttle servo motor potention: open or short circuit detected.. Thats what it means.. Something to do with your FI system..

else EO too little v scary lei...

if yours is a GEN 2,just press select for a few secs and it will change from MPH to KMH,and vice versa.
