Recommendation based on my opinions and comments from other fzian who own :

1) Leo Vince (Freaking loud without DB-killer)

2) Araka Carbon Slipon (Best outlook on a Naked FZ1, and bassy. The exhaust only gets real loud in mid range.)

3) Arrow CF slipon (Easily removeable muffler, reasonable exhaust sound, and it's on my bike and I'm loving it)

4) Remus Hexacone (Loud and hollow, looks like icecream cone)

There are many more choices, like scorpion, yoshi, giannelli, micron, gytr, etc..

Pricing wise, maybe u can look at Advertisers' Board under Unique motor for reference.

 

Btw, are u riding a 09 or 10 FZ1N ABS model?

 

Mine is not the ABS model.....

lets just talk about street legal ones. too many illegal ones to name and i dont think many have tried illegal pipes for fz6.

no doubt its a beauty.. but the sound is so-so.. furthermore i have a top box.. wont bring out the true beauty of the 4 pipes..

 

btw bro, fyi if u using givi top box rack...

u can forget abt gettng those funni funni and nice looking aftermarket exhaust cus the rack is blocking it...

givi rack is made to suit stock exhaust size...

meaning to say, if u are looking for an aftermarket exhaust and u still wish to use ur givi top box rack, u have to look for something that is of the same size & width as the stock exhaust...

anyone have any problem kicking from 1st gear to 2nd gear? will the gear get stuck at the neutral after 1 kick? and will your bike die without jerking or any sound when try to move off from 2nd gear? it will just die without jerking??

u running in ur bike with mineral oil?

if yes, it is normal to be hard to kick gears...

also, u also need ur gears to be season it...

today i went up north with silencer out...

my frns says it sounds like grass cutter! wth!

the sound is exceptionally bassy and loud at 2-3.5k rpm at all gears...

after 3.5-5.5k rpm, the sound became nicer to hear...

after 5.5k rpm, smooth~!

 

i tried passing by parked cars at 2-3.5k rpm, their alarm went off... o_O

but indeed, if prolong engaging at 2-3.5k rpm, it think my ears will go bogus even with my arai... o_O

saw a fz6 S2 with laser exhaust and with a givi top box on the road b4. looks not bad to me. :angel:

 

but the rack whether givi or not i'm not sure as he is zooming pass my tortise with another 2 fz6 rider at tat point of time. :sweat:

dun really need to see the list i roughly know what's available.. and i believe even their list no gpr. :angel:

the givi rack made with spacing for stock exhaust plus the casing, which makes it possible for aftermarket exhausts like akrapovic to fit from what i read. laser also can, i think minor modifications to be done.

3 things

1. play wit the freeplay of your clutch

2. maybe you should try other brands of engine oil for the kicking problem.

3. When moving off from 2nd gear, throttle more.

 

Its still running, so there is nothing wrong with your bike. You just got to get used to it...

Will the FCE help for a 09 model like mine.

 

Did you install any PCIII after you changed to ARROW, any mob done to compliment the slip-on.

 

Fuel Cutoff Eliminator (FCE) prevents the fuel to be totally reduced to zero when you snap the throttle close. Hearsay FI bikes, the feeling is more obvious, especially for Fazer.

 

Block off plates for covering the openings if you remove the Air Induction System (AIS), which was installed to pass strict emissions requirements. Will reduce exhaust popping when you decelerate once you remove it. The popping is more obvious if you are running on aftermarket exhaust.

I think Ivan was right in saying the problem will exist no matter which year('06-'08) FZ1 it was,in my case '07.My bike definately has an adrupt power cut/supply when twisting open/close(especially in mid corners), the throttle and this was cured the moment I installed my FCE.I'm very sure other fazer owners who have push the limits of their bike and installed the FCE would agree:) It's basically up to the preference of each individual owner:angel:
but where to get this FCE? n the sub-throttle plates? was quite interested cos i got a hard time controlling the bike due to this prob. but my ex bike is oso efi, but dun have this prob leh...

no lah as in when you accidentally release too much of clutch and the bike died it will usually have a jerk before dying off..

 

the free play? i never adjusted anything yet wor..

So with your Arrow slip-on, air-box mob, cable re-route, Ivan's FCE installed, so you still without the PCIII on your bike?

 

Have you dyno yours?

 

What is the little black ring on the tip of your Arrow?

 

No worries,4th pic is a de-restriction of the secondary throttle bodies.It truely compliments the FCE with better throttle response.A PCIII/V is needed if you want the best results.Pictures I got off the net though and not mine.

The above mods is a result of research I've done on the net and have not done any of the mods to my bike as it is not legal.All the above is just my own theory based on what I've researched(TOO FREE DURING CNY).Hope all this info helps bro,cheers

I'm experiencing some prob with my gears oso leh...

after moving off from 1st gear -> clutch in then engine dies

sometimes from 2nd to 3rd gear -> clutch in engine dies

sometimes from 3rd to 4th gear -> clutch in engine dies

but never encounter this prob from 4th - 6th gear & when my bike travelled for quite sometime...

any advise to wat's happening to my bike:confused:

Perhaps you can adjust your clutch to have less free play... I think your biting point is too close, thats why it dies...

With proper tuning using a PCIII/V you shouldn't lose much for each litre.Big changes only come when you use a 16t front sprocket:faint:

You can email Ivan directly. He do overseas shipping via CC, not sure if paypal is available. According to his response, can see he's quite a friendly fella. Inquired for a fce before, it cost around $200sgd..

Guys i am thinking of doing conversion to naked look.... as i ride scrambler all along now change to fazer /w fairing abit not used to it.

 

Was wondering anybody has done the conversion or any bike shop recommended to do so ?

Nobody dies a virgin coz life screw u up
