Your wife so hardcore on fishing ah or it is YOU! Fresh water fishing is at wild one right? I hope it is not pond. I like the wild side. :p

Last weekend no selar, really sian..... If got raining bit, water murky plus stronger current then good.

 

I purposely waited till end of year for big selar. Too bad.

HAha me sort of influence her also lor into fishing hahaha... but kelong very hard to get big fish wor... me going to bash for wild spots this weekend..

Anyone got good engine brake in knowledge to share? For example rev hard or do it easy? I tired to google it, but too many ppl saying different things. Hope u guys can share ur experience. :)

I believe you are the one that influnced most as female angler very rare, especially those hardcore one.

Small fishes not interested ah! Here which offshore got GT? Never try pop for GTs. Must take a boat out to good spots. Most GTS I saw is underwater, with school of Jacks. I mostly dive into the deep blue.

 

Normally you go river to catch what fish? Patin, snake head?

alot of tomans and pbs,

 

once in awhile u get kbl.

 

For popping of GT normally i go to bali or maldives and sometimes to japan.. Bali is the cheapest but the GTs there are slightly smaller at around 25 - 30Kg.

 

Wifey ever kena a big mama GT in maldive where she was using world combat rod and stella 10000 with full drag. Line keep going out till it snapped at the end. Meaning there wasnt any line left in the reel after that and the reel was pipping hot. Wohoo

My open sea fishing experience is not much. Don't have a proper fishing gear also. Just normal shore fishing. Last time mainly getting grouper, sea cat fish, snapper etc.. Fighting GT is damn tiring. I ever see people getting it hooked but got to take at least half an hour to pull it out. I was using Abu Garcia then, think even cheapo Penn is better, Abu drag power damn bad, it is nice for casting though.

 

I have been to Maldive diving once, came back kena laugh by friend as I never fish there, purely diving. He so so envy as Maldive is one of the best spot for fishing. Many pelagic there. Have you tried East Malaysia? My fever for fishing is settling down already, think better to stay away else kena fever again. Haha...
