i cant access this webpage due to no access rights. hw do i go about doin it? if e bellypan cud fit my fz1 i'd be interested

The bellypan's for FZ6, the mounting points of FZ6 and FZ1 should be different, this is my best answer, thanks bro...

I don't blame people who doesn't show courtesy, they just didn't get taught on how to do so.

hi guys, cn i juz check wif u guys over sum stuff. been ridin fz1 gen1 for awhile n gt sum issues i need to clarify.

1) e headlight is it permanently turned on when i power on or is der a switch i cn switch off?

2) on the left handlebar der's like a choke if i turn it inwards. it will "kill" e engine when i pull inward fully. wads dat for?

3) is it normal for the coolant hose to be protrudin out from the bottom of the right footrest? i feel kinda ugly actuali :D

4) lastly, where cn i get a cheap n good digital voltmeter and gear indicator.

Sori for all the qns coz im very new to ridin a cl2. all my frens ride s4 or car :(

ah fz1gen1, that sound like my fazer...:p..ok i should be able to answer your questions..here goes..

1.yes it is permanently on but it can be easily modify by having a on-off switch. Most bike shops can do it for you

2. it is meant to introduce more air into your air/fuel mixture, use only at cold or high altitude, in sg dont need for it

3. yes it is normal but you can always cut it shorter

4. most bike shop have voltmeter for sale, gear indicator you have better luck maybe motorworld, vector 1 ..i got my acumen from vector 1 but that was like 5 years ago

fz1 gen 1 is a carb bike, most bike shops can do the basic maintenance..anyway it has been trouble free since i bought new about 5 years ago so i have not repaired my bike before.

I get around 19 - 20 km/litres, full tank on average on singapore roads around 290km before reserve light comes on

19-20 for fz1? That's as high as my FZ6. Is carb model more fuel efficient?

Just sharing my story: I can't start my bike the other day, tried jump starting with a help from a car battery but no luck. It's just making a rattling sound without starting the engine and after that the instruments just reset itself. Wondering where I did wrong.

In the end i tow my bike, replace battery n found out that the magnetic coil is not charging the battery. Changed that as well.

There is no knowledge that is not power

Guess must be quite popular fz1 nowadays. How u guys keep d temperature low? As in not so hi? Does engine ice help? I hrd there is a thermostat that we can use to kick off d fan at 70 or 80 degrees like that. Any pointers? Thxs.

there's 3 ways that i would recommend...

1. change the lousy stock coolant to maxima coolaide or engine ice

2. change to #10 cold spark plugs

3. ride faster :D

u mean doing bypass of fan at lower temperature? if yes, i wouldn't recommend that... googled, researched, asked, blah blah blah and found that it's not too good for EFI or fully electronic bikes... :)

Ok, no. 1 or 2 i will try to do but for 3 i've been doing it. Heheh....

Hmm...d shop where i got d bike from told me that there is this thermostat that we can chg n this will kick off d fan at a lower temp. But again, i agree to what u said. Anyways, ever heard that there is an engine oil that can make your engine run a bit cooler? Belray if i'm not wrong...

never heard of that there is such thermostat to do that... possible to go back to the shop to ask for more details e.g what thermostat, brand, cost, it will trigger the fan at what temperature, blah blah blah?

sorry, i'm not too into EOs... to me, they are just EOs... i'm okay with the temperature for fazers... used to it already even in jams...

hello guys!!! juz got my FZ1N a few days ago....anyone knows how will i be able to check if the catalyser in the pipe has already been taken out??

brand new fz1 is it? stock exhaust or aftermarket exhaust... if yes, the cat is not out... if no, you have to take out your end can to check for the cat... alternatively, you can use a very long piece of wire cable to poke all your way in from the tip of the exhaust all the way in to check if there's any restriction or not, if yes there may be have a cat...

hhmm....mayb i'll ask again but i don't like to come down to the shop where i bought the bike....really sian la to see my ex-bike there.....anyways, they told me once when i inquire it but somehow not very convincing la....i was thinking engine ice as the only solution which i used for all my bikes.

n the eo oso not convincing as well....i was thinking got such eo meh? i thot eo only works optimumly at a certain temperature. anyways, wat eo usually u use? heard anybody chgd rad hose to samco?
