Wet cell, i dont mind topping up battery water every 6 months. That, and its alot more economical than sealed mf batteries, powder based and gel.

Ash you guys ar, fzs1 uses 14Ah battery or 12Ah as standard? Want to call the yamaha agents. Seems like their parts center is closed for the day.

I understand you're riding a Gen1. I believe Yuasa recommends their YT14B-BS model for this. Not sure if Yamaha recommends the same, if you see what I mean.

When I checked back in Dec, the YT14B-BS 'fill-up-and-seal' wet cell type was $75 at Regina, the GT14B-4 sealed type (Gel?) was $200 at Auto Machinery.

Another good place to check for batteries is K S Motor at 127 Jln Besar (opp the road from Regina, a few shops down the road); though they didn't have stock of the GT14B-4, which is what I'm looking for.

In any case, I don't believe there is ANY FZ1 battery that should cost you $300 if you shop around o_O

Will you be coming for LKS tonight? Lavender Food Centre, approx 9pm (though some people may be there earlier) until OTOT.

I regret that i only get off work at 11 at the earliest. Sorry!

So the fzs1 uses a 14Ah battery eh? I was wondering why there is a 12Ah battery in. Its working fine, however. And the rectifier is happily charging the battery. Thank god for multimeters.

That still leaves me confused as to why the meter keeps reseting the trip and clock. Electrical problems, i am not so good with.

Thanks for the quotation. Was expecting 80 dolls for a yuasa MF wet cell, actually. After checking the battery, i dcided its not necessary to replace.

Looks like i need to spend a few more hours at the LBS.

hi guys.. im riding fz6s..

am thinking whther a 30L or 40L look nicer for a side boxs..

any inputs guys?

Imho..both will look nice n fierce. But 40l will be wider so more difficult to squeeze through traffic.
