for fz1 headlamp, the bulb 12v60/55w, can use olwer wattage? cos the bulb i'm using is extremely hot n energy consuming. would like to change to something almost the same but not so hot n most impt is not consuming the batt so much causing the stored battery to b in lower voltage. please advise...

 

bro, imo, no halogen/hir/hid bulbs will be not hot and the watt is the bare minimum already... try checking out LED bulbs replacement... it will be getting more & more popular in very near future... but a little tip here, LED is never be able to be replaceable for conventional bulbs due to its lumen & its light throw...

 

perhaps u would like to install a switch to your headlight... dun use it when it's necessary...

hmmm... 35w sounds good... should be able to solve your problem... but u know la, lower watt means lesser lumen & shorter light throw... you might have some difficulties riding at night esp at nshw...

yes HID is the main cause cus HID eats more current althou it already have a ballast... if your ballast is those japalang type one, your HID can eat even more current...

ballast is part of your HID... all HIDs should have ballast... if yours no ballast, it could either means yours is not HID or u got it installed wrongly...

Maybe for a start, de-cat and remove the thermostat so that your bike will run cooler and less hot. Throttle body syn is important too if u want your bike to have better throttle response and run smoother.
