Only 28l. Bought the wrong size should have got the 36l. Thanks for the offer but unless it is Coocase I don't think it fits the base plate. It's ok I travel light and no shopping for me at Hatyai.

That's smaller than the givi e33 smile. That can barely fit a helmet, raincoat, and some small, loose things.

What essentials do you carry with you during tours? Other than the standard toolkit, tire repair kit and spare bulbs?

you can try calling motorworld to order in your specific silencer. they bring in most of the exhaust systems in singapore anyway.

Hi guys. Any gen1 users here done an exup system service? Mine is jammed, and removing the valve, mechanic reports that the spring holder for the doohickey is missing. I'll have to check a service manual to see what exactly is missing.

Jamming is one thing, but I find it odd that the tachymeter doesn't show error 7.

I'll be sending the bike for a service at Hong leong, see what they have to say.

Holy frak. Could your 8k RPM limit be because of an EXUP valve jammed closed? :D

bingo. with the exup valve removed, the RPM keeps climbing and climbing... until i found it difficult to control the front end.

with the valve removed entirely, the lower range is really puny. and since you have no good reason to go over 6k rpms in singapore, theloss in low end grunt is obvious.

knock frm engine? Ur mileage more than 40,000km cud be it. If doin ur tensioner mite as well do ur vavle clearance and other engine stuff. Gonna take a day or so anyways.

Yeah DaBonz my mileage is 45k... After they changed e tensioner, they said that there's some other problem that require them to open e top engine... They also mentioned that I may require to change e timing chain as it loose and some other parts that are related but forgot already le... Hai... I'm wondering if I need to do a top overhaul... Will doing a top overhaul include e valve clearance? What's included in a top overhaul and aoprox how much will it cost for a 07 FZ1? Don't mind me asking ya cos I haven't done any of such for my previous spark.

Valve clearance only actually no need top but usually its together with tensioner, timing chain, seals and anything else..depending on the condition really. It'll either be replace or reset. Range from nearly $400 to $600(so far I've heard this once) takes anywhere from a day to three.(again 3days I hear once) Unless yours really bad shape then  get ready lar..

I could be wrong so best is to check with your mech or a few mechs. Current prices could have gone up. Unique has a list of the top services you can use as a guide. (I am not recommending ar..just saying) Take a look at the advertiser thread.

betcha u miss ur spark rite abt now eh? aaahh the joys of a cls2 bike...:faint:

Looks like you need a new EXUP assembly.

Either that, or just rejet your carbs.
