u still need to wait la... like yatz said, they consolidate all orders from all over the island of SG then order together...

my buddy took 4-5 mths to wait for his givi racks lo... at the last month, then he got an email from mah that the order had been sent and blah blah blah... lol...

 

unless u wan to ride up to bangkok to fetch it back urself?

 

I originally planned for my brother in law to place an order with givi italy, and then ship it back to singapore. Its so much cheaper than placing an order with mah.

 

Then southern gave me a cheaper quotation. Still higher than if i ordered from italy and added delivery, but i dont have to mess with shipping.

 

I am regretting this choice. Ffs.

 

Also. Why is it so damn hard for mah to give an honest delivery turnaround time? No tracking for large orders? Thats bullshit, i say.

 

Unprofessional, slow, expensive. This is going to be another lesson for me. If there is no stock on hand at the local distro, order it yourself.

 

Ps. Anyone interested in the trekkr cases, be advised that its a plastic case with aluminium highlights. It's not an aluminium box.

Huh. Just the side racks? It needs to top rack rails to fix on, doesnt it?

 

If you have them both, i dont mind taking it off your hands. I would much rather have my kit on hard cases than a soft pack.

Hmmm, okay... Voltmeter doesnt draw much right? How to do battery maintenance? This happen before as last time my bike got once, unable to start due to 3 day never on... then keep crank until the battery almost die x.X! Maybe it's something that's draining the battery veri strongly... hmm

for battery maintenance, u could either do the below three methods:

1. approach ur bike shop and ask them to charge ur battery... most reputable bike shops should have the charging equipments... but some do ask for a small token...

2. look for limbat for a free battery maintenance but at his time expense... before u do, explain to him on ur problem so as he will decide should u do a normal battery maintenance or a re-conditioning...

3. go for a 1hr to 1.5hr continuous ride with more than 6k rpm... this will do charging to your battery from your rectifier...

no choice lo... from consumer point of view, it really sucks... from supplier point of view, they also wan to gain more profits... now u know la, that 'horse' is not really that fast... hehehe...

nope..no need..juz fixed to the pillion handlerest and footrest. i can lend u no prob since its collectin dust in the store..hahaha..if ur pillion handlerest doesnt have any holes of the rack to secure on, den more hassle required

I just changed my battery. My fazer had a fat yuasa ytx12bs in. I replaced it with a proper yuasa yt14bbs. Perfect fit.

 

I was expecting the battery to be hotter when i poured the acid in. Surprisingly, it just got... warm. The insides of a freshly gutted goat is warmer.

 

Not my lights dont get dim when the radiator fan kicks in. Hurrah!

Hi guys, any idea if a FZ1 racks for h&B box is suitable to mod on mounting a FZ16? According to m-technik FZ1 racks is most commonly used for mods. Tried calling biketech 21 but was told to be very costly on sw-motech racks.

 

I'm also trying to find out whether i should buy the rack from m-technik and then go to seng kwang for the mod or just go straight to seng kwang for custom racks? Any idea on the cost of either way? thanks a million!

When i saw your bike, it has a hepco becker top case bracket. You managed to fix the givi pl sidecase brackets on the hepco becker rails?

 

Forgive my memory, but i just assumed you fabricated an adapter for your wingrack2.

 

Do you have any pictures of your old monokey brackets without boxes installed?

Seng kwang will cost u at least 250 for 3 point, on top of that, u need to bring ur own rack there/baseplate.

2 months old nia must change a set of battery, india made stuff is really crap. Lemme go back to bikewerks later to check with ah beng... Maybe a fine charging might do magic... else needa take out the high watt bulb >_
