Nv be too sure aftermarket rearsets wont scratch the tarmac.. take a look at mine and you will understand. My rear brake lever got scratched and eventually bent.

And sidestand also scratched. Cannot imagine if I nv take out mainstand.

weird, after my dyno was told that my FC gets lower betwen 4k to 5k rpm which could be about 14 ~ 15+km/l

after 5k rpm, the FC increases to 16+km/l

 

anyone met the same scenerio as me ?

 

can it be ur mapping is tuned to hare power/torque at that range? more torque = less FC mah... hahaha...

when to HL for the "clicking/Thud" sound comming from my front handle bar..

 

they say it's nt the cone bearing but bcos of my frame slider..

he ask me to hold the slider while he test the suspension compression..

can feel it came from the slider leh.. -_-'

they asked me to change back to original screw n see the diff..

but when i fix my sliders last time, the mech nvr give me back my screws.. how ar like that..

any1 experience b4?

but i'm pretty curious how come the noise can comes from frame sliders? it it loose or something?

sliders are not loose.. but somehow what HL told me is the screw use might be a cheapo type..

walau.. need to fork out money again to buy original screws... i'm "screwed".. :faint:

Am riding with h&b explorer.. Cornering seems ok for me and always tend to go lower.. but when check my blind spot mirror seeing the box almost touching the road quite thrill too.. Hahaha.. im using after market rearset so the next thing to touch the tarmac when cornering should be my box only..

i think screws can get cheap bro.. its jus about the diameter and the length of the screw mah.. bike shop sure have.. otherwise they will know where to find also..

huh ? the frame slider is quite far from the front handle area leh.. so in other words, the sound is from the engine block knocking onto the frame itself ? because the frame sliders are using the engine mounting block screws

i told norman to tune to at least maintain the best FC, and the smoothness after de-cat, aftermarket exhaust and air filter....additional torque or horse power is secondary...he did it ...except that he find it weird that the fc drops within the 4k to 5k range...

Using extreme equipment frame sliders.. Its ok, i will drop by UM n ask them on monday to do my bike.. Bike due for EO change n oil filter..

Anyway, 3rd servicing usually u guys change wat other then EO n filter? Bike reaching 5k

i was chatting wif dolf now at sutera area & he mentioned abt u.. hahaha..

 

btw, u got ur AIS blocked already? & also ur baffle is out when dyno-ing?

 

besides aftermarket exhaust, de-cat & air filter, wondering u would like to share what else u had did for ur bike in terms of performance?

 

maybe in this way, we can discuss to see what could be lacking or could lead to ur weird graphings?

i havent do lei..no time:(...but so far i read its either u go throttle body sync or tps dirty...either which would be able to solve this irritating problem

Best FC i have got today after the re-map by HKL Benedict, Ivan's FCE installed back & replaced the kinked fuel hose

managed 16.54 KM/L, travelled 252.3km & top up 15.26 L. this were normal daily routine ride & never ride above 5k rpm. I was impressed even after all the mobs.

 

The worst i have got was 12.06 KM/L, just last month after the re-map, with the kinked fuel hose & Ivan's FCE removed.

 

The best i have were when all were stock managed 16.86 KM/L, this was last year April, BUT however only once during this 2 years of ownership.

Then yours will be 13.51 KM/L

 

Just before i re-map, Benedict of HKL has told me that after the dyno with all my mobs, my FC can be the same as stock or even better. While, which is true now, i am pretty impressed.
