I wish the bike lanes are abit wider for spore and msian customs..

Hi guys, does anyone know how much Seng Kwang will charge for fabricating side racks to fit the Hepco journey 42l side panniers on FZ1s? Is it worth getting them to do it or just get from M-technik at 440? Or is there any alternatives?

 

Also, do you need base plates or anything like that or can the panniers be mounted on the rack directly?

price is certain to be higher than m-technik because it's a manual fabrication design... but quality wise, much higher than the latter base on the structure & the material used... wad u see at m-technik are bulk production, hence it's cheaper...

 

for side panniers if you go to m-technik, you do not need any base plates... but for top box, yes you need...

Charles how the KL cum Sepang trip?

 

not really a good one but also not exactly a bad one too...

 

bad is because i didn't went for Sepang motoGP... my worm give way & my tire goes flat when i'm on my way from KL to Sepang... so no go motoGP anymore, half of us rode back earlier to avoid the instance of getting more problems when the night falls... the other half went for motoGP to catch Simon crash into Colin & Rossi...

 

i saved myself rm120 for this trip... but on the other side of the note, those folks who paid rm120 gets to watch a rare opportunity live crash...

 

good is we eat shop sleep play till we drop from the beginning of the trip till the very end of the trip... weather is in our favor too... hahaha...

yup... our itinerary is like keep on changing (super variable) & our mouths hasn't been stop eating... but everyone is happy... hahaha... :cheeky:

PR3 is good. Been using it for the past month. 120/70F, 190/55R

 

 

Grips well in the dry. Better than the PR2. Not quite at Pilot Power 2CT levels, though. (Don't buy too much into the magazine review hype about using it at the track. I definitely won't risk that!)

 

But I think that it feels a bit draggy. I dunno how to describe it. It's like there's a bit more rolling resistance than the PR2 before it.

 

In the wet, it's pretty awesome. I can lean and steer the bike on damp roads as I would on dry. When it's pouring, I still feel confident on it, though you would be wise to be smooth on the throttle anyway.
