Hi Bros, I observed that in MyCarforum (MCF), many are using CarLube Fully Syn 5w 40. Price $40 for 5 L . 1 L bot is $9. Many claim there that 10k oci is safe. 10k oci for cars is very standard practice for cars. Its the equivalent of 5k oci for bikes.

Now, I notice that the same brand has 5w 40 fully syn for bikes. Though the brand is CarLube, it states its for motocycles. Also

Eg, it is a separate range with different labelling indicating its for motorcycles.

ne1 tried? Any feedback? Say, based on 5k oci? TIA.

Hi bros im riding a fz6s s1 model 04-06 and i have some questions to ask.

1. I understand my model had a TPS issue and hong leong were replacing it for free. But how do i know if its fixed? Because im the 3rd owner.

2. My bike is currently at 39K+ mileage.. As per manual, valve clearance to check at 40K. My bike is running fine except fuel consumption is at 280 w reserve. How do i know it is necessary to go for valve clearance? Do we usually do a check first before changing any parts or?

3. Any shop you can recommend and whats e price range ?

Hi guys, anyone of you guys use action cameras like Go Pro and stuff?

I am using the SJ4000, which is like a low end version of the Go Pro.

Footage is really not bad, especially given the price.

One problem though is the buzzing. I ride a FZ1 and the vibrations makes either the footage rather buzzy. (I mount it on the mirror stem, which does not translate as much vibration compared to the cowling.)

Do you guys mount these camera on the helmet rather than the bike itself. Definitely will have minimal vibrations compared to mounting on the bike, but looks kind of weird i think.

Used to own a Go pro, but got the same buzzy problem.

why not checked if there is any mounting space between the fork below the front cowl? If u replaced the brake lines, splitter will be removed if u using direct 2 lines for front brakes. Try use that existing mounting hole to mount with an additional bracket.

Is it ok to change tyres at any shop for ABS bike? manual says to take the bike to your dealer for wheel removal. which means more money, of course

Im just afraid if I change tyre at normal shop, the abs system may be messed up.

riding fz1, first time changing tyre.

On rare occasions my fz6 will drop RPM upon changing to 2nd gear leading sometimes stall. Was reading up on this issue and it sounds like a TPS issue.

But the engine idles fine (between 990rpm to 1050rpm), no issues with lag response, and the engine feels fine. I'm due for an oil change, spark plug change, and possible clutch cable change too which i will be doing this weekend. Any idea how to check if my TPS is due for replacement?
